NASCAR POLICY for DOUBLE FEATURE EVENTS

With several double feature events coming up we thought we should make all the drivers and teams aware that NASCAR has a strict policy about inverting the lineups on double feature nights.

The policy is stated as follows:

2017 NASCAR WHELEN ALL AMERICAN SERIES (NWAAS) DOUBLE FEATURE POLICY
In the event the Promoter/Track official intends to host a “Double Feature” Event in which both feature races will award NASCAR Whelen All American Series National and State/Canadian Provincial championship points, the following race procedures must be implemented for any and all NEM approved “Double Feature Events for all sanctioned divisions in the NASCAR Whelen All American Series.
  • The first feature race should be started in accordance with the Promotor’s/Track Official’s posted starting position procedures.
  • The second feature race starting position procedure must include a minimum total invert of the first eight (8) drivers from the final finishing positions of the first feature race. If the second feature race starting field is eight (8) or less drivers, then a total full field invert is required.
  • Should the Promoter/Track Officials fail to comply with this procedure, drivers will not be eligible to earn National, State or Canadian Provincial championship points for the second feature race of the Event.
