April 29th Races at CNS Canceled due to Poor Weather

Unfortunately the April 29th 2017 Frames in Motion Dacono Night at the Races has been canceled due to the weather forecast which shows rain and snow for much of Friday and into Saturday afternoon. The forecast also indicates that the temperature will be very cold only reaching about 40 degrees or so. Therefore the CNS management has decided to cancel the race now so that all of the drivers, teams, employees and fans can make other plans for this weekend….

Kyle Ray Sweeps Joe Starr’s Photo Finish Night at CNS

(4-22-2017 Dacono, CO) On a very chilly spring evening Littleton Colorado’s Kyle Ray set quick time, won the fast dash, and blew out the competition in the Gillet Vet Clinic Super Late Models feature event completing the clean sweep on “Joe Starr’s Photo Finish” night at CNS. Darren Robertson Unstoppable on O’Reilly Auto Parts Night at CNS

(04-15-2017 Dacono, CO) Westminster’s Darren Robertson entered the 2017 first race with an all-new car and paint scheme and sent a notice to the rest of the Super Late Model teams that he will be a force in 2017. Robertson was unstoppable in every groove on the track and powered his way to the front to take the first win of the year in dramatic fashion. Vanderwal, Grove, and Eggleston kick off 2017 season on SUNOCO Night

(04-08-2017 Dacono CO) Kody Vanderwal, Wade Grove and Chris Eggleston opened up the 2017 season with feature event wins in the Pro Trucks, Late Models, and Legends divisions respectively. Pro Truck & Super Stock Rules Clarifications

The CNS Tech department has made some clarifications and corrections to the Pro Truck and Super Stocks rules documents. The summary of the changes are as follows:

Clarification on Pro Truck weight.
20.1 Chevrolet engine option 1 minimum weight before race 2900lbs(not 2950lbs. as stated in the previous rules document)

Clarification for Super Stock Leaf Spring Cars
RULE: 25.3 Leaf spring cars only, minimum weight with driver before the race must be 3650 lbs.Maximum left side weight is 52%. 602 crate motor weight 3600 with driver before race.

Colorado National Speedway to host Driver Appreciation BBQ at Last Pre-Season Practice

Attention CNS Drivers and crew! In appreciation for everything our Drivers, their Families and their Crews do for the Track, Colorado National Speedway would like to invite you to a pre-season kick-off BBQ! Starting at 4:30pm on Saturday, March 25, CNS will open the Pit Concessions booth and serve a complimentary Famous Dave’s BBQ dinner for all Drivers, their Families, and their Crew members. Food, Soft Drinks, Cold Brews, and other treats will be provided compliments of CNS and our partners. We’ll also give away some prizes and swag, so mark your calendars for the 25th and come hungry! We can’t wait to see you!

March 11th Practice Cancelled

Practice for Saturday, March 11th has been canceled due to the rain. Tires and Fuel will be available for sale from 11am to 3pm. See you next week!

Amendments to the 2016 F-8 Rules effective Jan 1, 2017

  1. 25lb must be bolted to the front stub on fabricated stub cars. Fabricated stubs must maintain same geometry as original. 
  2. No penalty for fabricated rear clip. 
  3. Any year body is permitted. No lightweight or carbon fiber components. Body must resemble factory body (no dirt car wedge bodies). Mixing year and make of body parts is allowed. 
  4. Full factory firewall must be used. 
  5. Aluminum water pump is allowed. 
  6. 602 crate engine 3100 lbs. 604 crate engine 3200 lbs
