Formal Apology Regarding SLM #12 Non-Disqualification

Jim Nordhougen of Colorado National Speedway would like to formally apologize for interfering in a decision that the Tech Department was in process of determining concerning the #12 Super Late Model during the 09-22-2018 preliminary feature event. At that time, there was discussion with the Tech Officials concerning possible illegal parts on the vehicle. Super Stock Points Correction

On August 25th Super Stock #32L finished 14th in the feature event and those points were inadvertently awarded to the #32 Super Stock which affected the final points standings. The error was caught in a year-end points audit by NASCAR. Therefore the #32 of Cody Milan will finish 4th in points with 294. 2nd place in points now is awarded to #60 Jonathan Lindberg and 3rd place to #99s Sam Messerli.

Super Late Model Driver Meeting Oct 3 2018

On Wednesday October 3rd 7PM at the CNS main office there will be a meeting for Super Late Model drivers who finished in the top 6 in points in 2018. This meeting is for drivers only, no owners or crew members allowed. Super Stocks added to Challenge Cup

On the October 6th Challenge Cup the Mod Coupes have been removed from the schedule and the Super Stocks have been added to race in honor of Darrel Smith longtime driver who passed away late this summer. The track is expecting a large turnout of Super Stocks to have one final race and sendoff for one of the true legends of the Speedway. The Super Stock portion of the event will be in Darrell’s honor. Super Stocks 60 and 3.2

Both Super Stocks #3.2 and #60 have been disqualified from the first Super Stock feature event on September 22nd. The offenses are as follows: Rough driving on the track resulting in accident and verbally assaulting a NASCAR official by crew members in the pits. These are both direct violations of the CNS rules.

Grand American Modified Tire Announcement

The CNS Staff has determined that on Saturday September 29th the Grand American Modifieds will be allowed to run 4 new tires. The 29th is Championship for the GAMs and therefore all drivers and teams can run 4 new tires for that night.
