Mountain View Fire also extended it's thanks to CNS, it's fans, and race teams, for canceling the event as it would have obstructed the rescue efforts that were underway.
The standing CNS policy for races that have been cancelled for weather conditions is that we do not reschedule them. There are simply too many factors to overcome in rescheduling these events including conflicts that drivers and teams might have with the available rescheduled dates. There is no logistical nor fair way of making up these races and therefore we do not reschedule them.
That being said, we realize everyone (including ourselves) was excited to see Mark Neff and Rudy Vanderwal battle it out for the Pro Truck Championship as the two drivers were only separated by a single point. Mark Neff is crowned the 2013 Pro Truck champion. Yet both Mark and Rudy deserve congratulations as they put on a fantastic battle all season long.
We would also like to congratulate Cris Muhler who dominated the Mod Coupe division and took home the 2013 track championship. Richie Caster Jr. beat his own teammate Harold Evans by 2 points to take home the ERA Supermodified championship.
Congratulations to all the drivers, teams, and car owners on a great 2013 season.
Looking forward, the track is ready to go and there will be Test and Tunes Friday September 20th as we gear up for Challenge Cup XXXIX on Saturday the 21st.
