Effective immediately- In the interest of keeping the competitive environment level, effective immediately all sealed crate motors will be required to meet the following specifications.

ASA Legal Cars are allowed. Must Meet CNS Left Side Weight and Tread Width. (ASA Total Maximum weight may be adjusted upon review). Must use CNS Fuel and Tire Rule
- The maximum final drive gear allowed will be a 5.20. If a team chooses to utilize a ring and pinion different than a 4.11 or 4.86, it must be disclosed to CNS officials and documented final ratio must be provided from the manufacturer. CNS reserves the right to verify the ring and pinion ratio in all cases.
- Unaltered GM 604 motors that are utilized as manufactured will be allowed to compete at 2800 pounds. CNS reserves the right to implement RPM limiting devices as necessary.
- ASA rebuilt and sealed motors will be allowed to compete at 2850 pounds. These engines must use the ASA legal ignition components including the GM amplifier box with the external RPM limiter set to a maximum of 6400.
- CNS reserves the right to test crate motors as deemed necessary.
