Bruce "The Moose" Yackey shows his stuff with another exciting win at Colorado National Speedway.
#1 Jay Fields had the pole with #54 Joe James Jr on the outside. On the inside of row two was #4 Cris Muhler with #11 Darren Robertson on the outside. #66 Darren Bucklen had the inside of row three.
At lap 2 a pile up involving many drivers including CNS’ own Bruce Yackey and Chris Muhler led to a red flag. On the restart, another driver spun out and officials counted down the laps as they circled the oval in caution.
By time the green flag flew it was lap 7. #11 Darren Robertson was in the lead followed by #54 Joe James Jr & #66 Darren Bucklen.
Robertson’s lead grew on Bucklen as Bucklen’s lead grew on #12 Bruce Yackey, #27 Joe Ross and Jay Fields who were heatedly dueling for 3rd. CNS hero Bruce Yackey came out on top, moving into 3rd as the group approached lapped traffic.
Caution at lap 53 killed the distance between the leaders as Robertson, Bucklen, Yackey and Muhler lined up for the double file restart.
Bucklen took the lead on the restart with Yackey and Robertson dragging for 2nd.
Yet another spin out led to another caution and another restart. This time, The Moose rocketed out front leaving Bucklen, Robertson and Muhler behind.
At lap 65, Robertson spun out and was sent to 6th. On the restart he was right back in the game as he immediately got around Joe Ross moving into 5th. He continued his domination as he moved into 4th. Yackey still held the lead followed by Bucklen and Muhler.
At the checkered it was Bruce Yackey for the win followed by Bucklen, Muhler, Robertson & Fields.

As Happy’s lead grew, Deines passed Vanderwal and moved away from the rest of the field, Deines however, could not touch Happy Ferree. Caution at lap 11 lined them back up for a double file restart.
At the green, Happy had the pole with Deines on the outside, Muhler had the inside of row 2 with Vanderwal on the outside.
Happy and Deines dragged through the 13th lap with Happy coming out on top. But then came Muhler. He passed Deines on the inside and refused to let Happy get any distance.
