Avants makes it two in a row at Colorado National Speedway.

Roger the "ice man" Avants dominated the Speedy's Autos late model field winning his second consecutive main event. Try as they might the rest of the field couldn't catch Littleton Colorado's Roger Avants as he used the outside line to make another trip to winner's circle at CNS.

Speedy's Auto Late Models.
Car #11 Darren Robertson and #12 Bruce Yackey paced the field as the Speedy's Autos late model revved it up for a 40 lap main event. Young Darren Robertson took an early lead over the veteran Bruce "the moose" Yacky while Roger "the ice man" Avants and "Speedy" Ronnie Hults battled for 3rd. A third the way through the race and the "ice man" used his signature outside line to move past Yackey and take a 8 car length lead. #27 Roger Avants wasn't to be denied as he won his second consecutive main event in dominating fashion.

Snap-On Tools Pro Trucks
07 Chris Leaf took and early lead in the Sunoco Pro Trucks 30 lap main event but Adam Deines in the 7 truck was not going to let Leaf run away with the race and assumed the lead on lap 7. Last weeks main event winner Bear Lynch in the 41 truck grabbed second place behind Deines and the battle began to heat up. Thrilling the crowd Bear Lynch dove under Deines but after a video review it was Adam Deines in the 7 truck by about an inch!

Sunoco Grand American Modifieds
Tom Evans in the 11 Grand American Modified sat on the pole but it was Mark Sopr in the beautiful #4 Modified who grabbed an early lead. Current points leader Forest Smith in the 69 GAM had engine failure ending his night with only a few laps complete. 77 Jeff Hansen took advantage of the restart claiming the lead but Jace Hansen was right behind and the chase was on. The entire crowd was wondering… can Hansen hold off Hansen? Splitting lapped cars the two Hansen's battled it out lap after lap until 08 Jace Hansen assumed the lead for good after a late race caution.

Sheds R Us Super Stocks.
A full field of Super Stocks rumbled out on to the track for the 25 lap main event with Andrew Mues in the #0 car on the pole and Scott Miller in the #19 on the front row. Scott Miller from Brighton Colorado took a early 5 car length lead but the battle behind Miller had the fans on the edge of their seats. 46 Rick Lothert, 0 Andrew Mues, 00 Dennis Edwards, 17 Jeremy Barclay, 13 Jason Morris and 36 the "Pebble" Matt Burton where in a dog fight for second place. But with a late race caution and the sun setting on the speedway Dennis Edwards in the 00 car took advantage of the outside line and went by Miller for the lead. Yet in one of the most dramatic endings of a race this season on the very last lap Dennis Edwards lost his right rear and sparks showered out from behind the 00 car, ironically Edwards wheel came around to finish the race while Edwards car remained in turn three. After a penalty was assessed to the 46 car the Super Stock main event was awarded to early race leader Scott Miller in the 19 car.

One train started in each of the four corners and they raced in a figure 8, as you might imagine is was totally insane! You've gotta see it to believe it!
