(07-16-2011 - Dacono, CO) Lee Kemmit once again proved that his #98 Dodge is the car to beat in the Pair-A-Dice Interior Finishes Sportsman division at CNS in 2011. Kemmit started in the third row then found his way to the front and never looked back.

PAIR A DICE SPORTSMAN
Lee Kemmit wins again (Starr photo)#8 Jeff Walbaum had the pole at the start of the Sportsman main event at Colorado National Speedway and #84 Bruce Borchardt was outside. Yet it was the rocket-fast #98 Lee Kemmit who quickly worked his way to the front from his 5th place starting position. Lee's GTI teammate #6 Tommy Roe also worked his way past Walbaum and Borchardt and settled into second place. A great race developed for third place between #46 Eric "blackie" Blackard, #8 Jeff Walbaum and #84 Bruce Borchardt which brought the fans to their feet. Tommy Roe began to carve away at Kemmit's lead but it was too little too late as Kemmit took the win followed by Roe, Blackard, Borchardt, and Walbaum.

Mark Neff wins the Pro Truck main (Starr photo)SNAP-ON TOOLS PRO TRUCKS
#32 Mark Neff did something that not many drivers have been able to do and that's pass #27 Roger "the ice man" Avants on the inside. Roger loves the outside line and is historically tough to pass when Roger is in his groove. But the young Neff worked his way under Roger and led the race from lap 6 on. #7 Adam Deines and #36 Matt Burton were putting on a great show battling for third. As the trucks crossed the line, Matt Burton made an attempt to pass Deines on the outside but hit the turn four wall extremely hard. Thankfully Matt was OK but his truck sustained major damage. #32 Mark Neff was the winner followed by #27 Avants, #7 Deines, #36 Burton and #35 Rudy Vanderwal.

RMLRA Main Event ActionRMLRA LEGENDS
A great field of Rocky Mountain Legend Racing Association cars lined up for a 25 lap main event. #6 Scotty Scott was on the pole and #1 Eric Stedman was outside. Yet it was a pair of Kyles (#66 Clegg & #58 Ray) that jumped out front right off the bat. Clegg sliced and diced lapped traffic with Ray hot on his tail. With 9 laps to go debris on the backstretch brought out the caution, this set up a furious race to the finish between Clegg, Ray, #08 Jon Krizman and dash winner #06 Mike Gallegos. When the white flag flew Krizman and Gallegos made contact and spun down the back chute yet kept going costing both of them several positions. #66 Kyle Clegg won the race followed by #58 Kyle Ray, #13 Pete Dellarco, #6 Scotty Scott and #34 Chris Cooper.

Jason Morris wins the Super Stock main (Starr photo)NTC Logistics Super Stocks
The first few laps of the Super Stock main was about as thrilling as it could be. The massive field of cars were running 3 and sometimes 4 wide! With just 7 laps complete car #85 Ricky Penetta Jr. got upside down and slide on his lid into turn 3 bringing out a red flag. Thankfully Ricky was okay and exited the car on his on two feet. After the race resumed a furious battle for the lead ensured with #13 Jason Morris, #19 Scott Miller, #05 David Rothrock, #39 Jack Nugent, and #3 Michael Cox. As the race developed there was a spree of yellow flags that marred the event. Eventually NASCAR officials were forced to finish with a green, white, checker and #13 Jason Morris took the win followed by #19 Scott Miller, #39 Jack Nugent, #3 Michael Cox and #90 Kyle Patee.

Richie Castor (Starr photo)ERA SUPERMODIFIEDS
It took 8 laps for #2 Richie Castor Jr. to track down race leader #51 Joe Prisilac and surpass him for the lead. Yet Richie's own teammate #3 Harold Evans wasn't going to let Castor run away with the race as Evans began to track down Castor. John Pickard in the beautiful red #02 supermod was running third and gaining on Evans. In the end it was Castor taking the win, Evans in second and Pickard in third.

Witthar Racing TRAINS
Before the trains could make a full lap train #52 "Closing Time" flipped entering the "X". Miraculously both drivers were OK and after safety crews turned the train back on its wheels they fired up the train and continued on! Train #67 driven by Keith Swensen took the win.
