(09-08-2012 Dacono, CO) On a perfect September Colorado evening Bruce Yackey and Chris Eggleston put on a great show for the fans battling side by side for several laps in the Gillett Vet Late Model division main event. Yet when Eggleston got stuck behind lapped traffic Yackey cruised to the victory putting a stranglehold on the season points chase.

Bruce Yackey has become a fixture in winner's circle in 2012Gillett Vet Late Models
A wild start in the main event for the Gillett Vet Late Models when just 8 laps into the race a major crash coming out of turn 2 involving #7 Adam Deines, #31 Rick Smith, and #84 Matt Zwingleberg, while none of the drivers were injured there was major damage to all three vehicles. After the cleanup and when the race resumed the battle for the lead was intense between #66 Darren Bucklan, #91 Chris Atkinson, #22 Chris Eggleston and #12 Bruce Yackey. Eggleston looked determined and quickly worked his into the lead. Yackey wasn't going to allow Eggleston to build a lead and moved into second place and began to pressure Eggleston for the lead. The two drivers battled door handle to door handle for several laps with Eggleston on the outside and Yackey on the inside. Unfortunately for Eggleston he became temporarily trapped behind lapped cars which allowed Yackey to vault into the lead all by himself. The "moose" proved beyond any doubt that this is his year as he then extended his lead to 8 car lengths. Yackey cruised to the checkered flag followed by Eggleston. Coming all the way from deep in the field #6 Dominic Ursetta finished a strong 3rd. Chris Atkinson took 4th and the "ice man" Roger Avants in the #27 rounded out the top 5 who also came from the rear of the field to grab an impressive top 5 finish.

FAST DASH WINNER: #6 Dominic Ursetta
DASH WINNER: #74 Dan Savage.
QUICK TIME: #22 Chris Eggleston 16.188

#39 Jack Nugent wins the Super Stock main event (Starr photo)NTC Logistics Super Stocks
#61 John Humphrey and #0 Andrew Muse paced the field for a 25 lap NTC Logistics Super Stock main event and a furious battle for the lead ensured between Humphrey, #39 Jack Nugent, #3 Michael Cox, Muse, and Pro Truck driver Adam Hilton who was driving the 3X Super Stock. Eventually Nugent worked his way into the lead and he never looked back grabbing yet another main win. Cox took 2nd, Humphrey hung on for 3rd, #46 Rick Lothert was 4th and #13 Jason Morris was 5th.

FAST DASH WINNER: #46 Rick Lothert
DASH WINNER: #0 Andrew Muse
QUICK TIME: #6x Josh Parker 19.675

Cris Muhler dominated the CARC Mod Coupe main event (Starr photo)CARC Mod Coupes
Bad luck struck two of the top 3 cars in the point standings in the CARC Mod Coupe division when #34 Randy Whitman crashed on the first lap of the main event and #55 Gary Land crashed with just 8 laps to go in the feature. Neither of those incidents distracted the yellow #95 of Cris Muhler who grabbed the lead from #44x Mike Wood and cruised easily to victory. Wood finished 2nd, #45 Carl Vair was 3rd, an impressive finish for Pro Truck and Late Model driver Adam Deines who finished 4th in the black 1d coupe and rounding out the top five was #43 Matthew Pierce.

FAST DASH WINNER: #95 Cris Muhler
DASH WINNER: #46 Eric Blackard
QUICK TIME: #55 Gary Land 16.196

#3 Harold Evans and #2 Richie Castor Jr. finish side by side (Starr photo)ERA Supermodifieds
The ERA Supermodified main got off to an exciting start when the field dove into turn 3 and for a moment the field went 4 abreast which brought the entire CNS crowd to their feet. That excitement was a bit short lived when the race was red flagged due to a minor crash between #7 Ian Tolan and #61 Danny McBride on the back straight. After a lengthy cleanup #33 Chris Sheil took the lead from #12 Mike Anderson but that didn't last long as #3 Harold Evans blew by Sheil moments later. Sheil's luck went from bad to worse when his motor blew and caught fire in turn 3 bringing out yet another red flag. The race was delayed from the two major cleanups but the finish was fantastic as Evans and Castor crossed the line side by side. Evans took the win over Castor by just inches.

FAST DASH WINNER: #12 Mike Anderson
QUICK TIME: #2 Richie Castor Jr. 14.474

DEMOX
The DEMOX was nothing but pure carnage. It was difficult to follow the leader but nobody cared as the fans cheered for the demolition that was on display.
