Snap-On Tools Pro Trucks

Richard Burton picked his way through the field keeping pace with the leaders throughout the race. This earned him the win after Happy Ferree and Adam Deines were penalized for not passing post race inspections.

The 12 lightning fast Pro Trucks hit the track for the 30 lap main event with #0 Billy Harkins on the pole and #7 Adam Deines on the outside followed by #34 Rudy Vanderwal, #1 Happy Ferree & #32 Mark Neff.

Deines took an early lead with Happy on his tail as they both passed Harkins’ #0 truck. As Happy and Deines battled for first place, Richard Burton continued to move up the field from 6th place. The two leaders, Happy and Deines continued to race bumper to bumper through 9 straight laps. Happy finally took the lead but Deines stuck tight behind him.
Happy and Deines enjoyed a massive lead while Burton and Harkins battled door handle to door handle for 3rd place. Finally, Burton edged out Harkins for 3rd. With the pedal to the metal, and some keen driving skill, Burton maintained 3rd place until the very end.

Happy finished first with Deines in second place but the two were later penalized for not passing post race inspection. So it was Burton for the win followed by Billy Harkins and Mark Neff.

Rocky Mountain Mini Sprint Association

The Mini Sprint A Main was a blast to watch. The 13 drivers gave their all through 20 squeaky clean laps.
#69 Paul Babich led until #9 Nick Burton passed him on the inside of turn 3 on the first lap. From there out it was obvious that Burton owned oval.

With Burton way out front, Babich and #24 Jay Sant raced tight for second. Burton just kept pulling away from the pack as Sant passed Babich in lap 8 for second place.

Nick Burton got the job done passing the checkered flag first followed by Sant in 2nd place, Babich in 3rd and #26 Chris Crowder in 4th. Crowder had wowed the crowd earlier during the qualifier, taking the win after starting a full half lap behind the field.

CARC Modified Coupes

It was an amazing Mod Coupe, 25 lap, A Main with 19 coupes in the field.
#8 Paul Deines had the pole with #24 Chad Guilford on the outside. Before long, #15 Richard Bubak passed Guilford nipping at the heels of Paul Deines. Deines tried to hold him off, but Bubak had his way and passed him on turn 4 of lap 5!

#90 Frank Denning was moving up the field and took second seemingly out of nowhere. With his eye on the lead, Denning rode up on Bubak’s inside coming around turn 4 at lap 10. Denning stole the lead with authority as Bubak fell to 2nd with #12 Jamie Bubak holding a tight 3rd.
All the while, #55 Gary Land was running an impressive race, slowly moving up the field.

Caution loomed on lap 15, Denning continued to speed ahead as #33 Chet Graham spun out.
With caution on the track Bubak left the race, leaving the anticipated win wide open for Denning.

On the restart, Frank Denning took back his lead as if nothing had happened. Jaime Bubak, Paul Deines, Chad Guilford and Gary Land followed.
In an impressive show of speed and skill, #55 Gary Land who had been moving steadily up the field from the get-go, passed Guilford for 4th!

Coming out of yet another yellow flag, Land rocketed past Jamie Bubak into second place!
One last yellow flag with only 3 laps to go brought on a single file restart.
Jaime Bubak took back second from Land on lap 24. It was Denning for the win with the steady Jamie Bubak in 2nd, the hard charger Gary Land in 3rd followed by Paul Deines & Matt Burton.

Legends

An unfinished A Main. The 27 legends called it quits before all 25 laps could be completed due to a serious wreck on turn 2.

#66 Kyle Clegg started on the pole with #22 Chris Eggleston on the outside followed by #17 Bill Yeros, #3 Wayne Barlock and #03 Darrell Stewart.
It was tight between Clegg, Eggleston and Barlock until Eggleston took Clegg on the inside of turn 2 on lap 2.

#8 Jon Krizman moved up the field taking 5th. Eggleston was way ahead followed by Clegg, Barlock, Stewart and the approaching Krizman. Suddenly, Krizman and Barlock sped ahead together taking 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Contact toward the middle of the field resulted in a red flag. #84 Mike Webber and #93 John Baker were involved. Baker spun out and slammed hard into the wall on turn 2.
The crowd fell silent while waiting for word on his condition.
A helicopter showed up to air lift Baker out for precautionary reasons.
The crowd gave a jubilant round of applause as he was carried to the helicopter.
The race is called. #22 Eggleston wins, followed by #3 Barlock, #8 Krizman, #66 Clegg and #03 Stewart.

Doc Popcorn Super Stocks

28 super stocks hit the track for the 30 lap main event.
#3 Michael Cox had the pole with #09 John Patee on the outside followed by #02 Cecil Smith and #46 Richard Lothert in the second row.

The action started right out of the gate with Smith and #92 Alexander Grasso speeding ahead for second and third respectively. Smith ran side by side with Cox who held on to the lead until Smith pulled away in a burst of speed.

Smith and Cox seemed evenly matched, drag racing head to head through 2 straight laps. Smith pulled away going around turn 1 on lap 10 as Richard Lothert pulled up to follow right behind him.

As Smith and Lothert continued to pull away from the rest of the field, #43 Robert Sears spun out in turn 4. He tried to get out of the way but the leading Smith couldn’t avoid him and the two made contact. The collision is devastating to Smith’s machine, which took extensive damage to the front end.

Coming out of the caution lap, Smith’s car was clearly suffering from the damage done by the collision. Lothert took advantage of the opportunity and pulled into the lead followed closely by #17 Jeremy Barclay, Grasso, #01 Jason Morris and #07 Joel Sidell
From there out, all leaders held their own, with #09 John Patee moving into 5th place.
#46 Richard Lothert cinched it followed by Barclay, Grasso, Morris and Patee.

In winner’s circle, Lothert hopped on his car and performed the “Lothert Shuffle” for his adoring fans.
