Cold and Wet Weather Claim CNS Season Opener

With the rain and snow moving into the front range Colorado National Speedway has decided to cancel the Saturday April 7th season opener. Friday’s temperatures will not exceed the 30s and Saturday isn’t much warmer with an expected high of 55. Therefore areas of the stands and portions of the track, pits and parking lots, will not be adequately dry for Saturday evening. Adding to the problem is more rain is forecasted for Saturday night. North Side Towing ups the ante for DemoX Trucks!

In 2018 North Side Towing has added to the guaranteed purse for both divisions in the DEMOX. Which means with their help there is now a $500 guarantee in the heavy “truck” division for the 2018 season. Get Ready for the Bandoleros!

Colorado National Speedway is excited to announce the addition of a new division for the 2018 season and beyond. The Bandoleros! A Bandolero is a INEX sanctioned division similar to the Legend Cars. Therefore now CNS will have two starter level divisions: Pure Stocks and Bandoleros. Yet unlike Pure Stocks Bandoleros are for younger drivers 8-16 years of age. Battle of the Fenders 300 Enduro adds fun to the long off-season

Colorado Speedway ran a $1,500 to win enduro race this past Sunday and a great time was had by all. Spectators lined-up to watch the special Sunday race that invited stock cars of all shapes and sizes to compete against one another for 300 laps. 36 cars started the race but just 15 or so made it to the finsih which lasted about 3 hours including a hour hour break at the halfway mark of the race. The 2018 racing schedule has been announced. While it’s important to remember that at this early stage all dates are tentative and subject to change you can view the entire schedule here.
