Colorado National Speedway was saddened today to learn of the passing of one of our great competitors, Kelly Villers. Kelly was best known here as a Train Driver, and in addition to being a fierce competitor on the track, was committed to making racing as fun and exciting as possible for fans young and old. We will greatly miss his witty personality and competitive spirit. Rest Easy, Friend.

Start of Racing Season Delayed.

Hello everyone, The NASCAR home office in Daytona informed us today that no sanctioned racing events will be permitted until May 3rd, 2020. For those of you following the story, this should come as no surprise. March 14th Practice Session Canceled

Practice for March 14th has been canceled. The current forecast has rain and snow falling all day Friday and into the wee hours of Saturday morning, and that kind of moisture makes for very poor practice conditions. Kody Vanderwal, 19, will be making his NASCAR rookie Xfinity Series debut for Jimmy Means Racing, driving the No. 52 car. The 2020 Colorado National Speedway schedule has been announced. While the schedule is still tentative it features three practice dates in March and the racing starts in April with four events. May has three regular events and three special events featuring the North American Big Rigs and a two day Memorial Day race with fireworks on the 23rd and 24th. The Galitz Trucking Hauling Asphalt night at Colorado National Speedway was scheduled for Saturday July 20th. The Snap-On Tools Pro Trucks, Galitz Trucking Late Models, Elite V Twin Legend Cars and the Elite Diesel Service Figure 8s were all set to race. Rail’s End Beer Company Late Model Kick Off Canceled

Due to adverse conditions the Rail’s End Beer Company Late Model Kick Off scheduled for April 13th has been cancelled. After Wednesday’s snow the amount of moisture in and around the track will make it impossible to hold the event. Adding to the challenge of the amount of snow received the temperatures are not expected to rise out of the 40’s therefore the moisture will not have time to evaporate sufficiently. 2019 Tentative Schedule Announced

Colorado National Speedway has announced its tentative schedule for the 2019 season. While the schedule is subject to change some of the highlights are: Practice dates are schedule for March 16, 23, and 30th with the Racers Appreciation Party on the 30th.
