September 6, 2025 - Dacono, CO
Fans packed into Colorado National Speedway on September 6th, 2025 for a spectacle unlike any other. Ten Big Rigs with screaming turbo diesels tore up the track thanks to the American Big Rig Racing East (ABBR) and North American Big Rig Racing West (NABRR) divisions. The shockingly quick semis went door-to-door, lighting up the night and laying down rubber in a show that had the crowd roaring. Backing them up was a stacked local lineup featuring Pro Trucks, Bandoleros, Grand American Modifieds, and Legends, delivering nonstop short-track action. Not to be outdone, Austin w. and his Subaru WRX out-dueled Dave G. and his Audi R8 in the Spectator Circle Drags finale, sending the full house of fans to their feet.
Keep reading for Saturday night’s highlights!

Big Rigs
Fast Dash – 10 Laps
The No. 00 of Darren Berdhal lunged ahead of the pack to lead the first lap, but after starting dead last, the No. 11 of Cole Wiesner had already battled his way up to P2. Wiesner used the outside lane to pick away at Berdhal’s lead. In just three laps, he’d cruised all the way from the back to the front. He continued to lay down lap after blistering lap, leading right to the line with little pressure from the rest of the pack.
Dash – 10 Laps
While the No. 51 of Luke Whitmire galloped to an early lead, the No. 66 of Austin Hoppe and the No. 20 of Jameson Gibson scrapped for second place. Gibson drifted through the corners, slinging his big rig completely sideways as he tried to hold off Hoppe’s charges. However, Gibson got a little too close for comfort and tagged the wall, giving Hoppe the chance he needed to take second place away. Gibson nursed a now-wounded truck around the track, but fell to fifth place. Up front, Whitmire had all but checked out with Hoppe in second place and the No. 88 of Mike Morgan in third place. It was Morgan’s turn to get sideways around the turns, doing his best to track down Whitmire and Hoppe, but Whitmire’s lead was too great – and not one to let his competitors steal the show, Whitmire threw his big rig sideways across the line on his way to the victory.
Feature – 32 Laps
For the first time in history, the American Big Rig Racing East (ABBR) and North American Big Rig Racing West (NABRR) divisions met in the middle and shared a track, pitting competitors from all across North America against one another in a 32-lap shootout. Fresh off his Dash win, Whitmire fired off from the front row to lead the opening lap with Gibson and Hoppe in tow. The leaders chased the back ends of their rigs around as Hoppe edged past Gibson, who began to fall back as Wiesner began to work his way through the pack after starting dead last again. He had already raced his way into fifth place by Lap 8, then quickly demoted Brady Riplinger’s No. 91 for fourth just one lap later, sights set on the front of the pack. The No. 13 of Cory “Ripper” Riplinger overtook Hoppe for second as Hoppe plummeted, and soon, the leaders – Whitmire, Cory Riplinger, and Brady Riplinger – raced nose-to-tail in a three-truck breakaway from the rest of the field.
Though Whitmire’s truck was fast, he soon had his hands full of Cory Riplinger, who swept past him and took control of the race, pulling Brady Riplinger through with him. Now without clean track ahead, Whitmire fell off the pace, slotting in behind Wiesner as he fell outside of the top five. Wiesner, on a mission, quickly made himself known inside the top three, chasing Cory Riplinger after picking off Brady Riplinger. Cory Riplinger fired back but didn’t have enough to answer Wiesner’s speed, and Wiesner had control of the race in short order. Gibson – still throwing his truck sideways, much to the delight of the crowd – fell in behind the leaders as they whipped around the track. Wiesner kept his nose clean and opened up a slight advantage on Cory Riplinger, navigating traffic without breaking much of a sweat. Wiesner continued to lead as trucks from the NABRR division captured every single one of the top five positions, but nobody had anything for Wiesner in the closing laps. Wiesner sealed the deal and swept both of his races for the night, giving bragging rights to NABRR, who won the Can-Am Big Rig Nationals. We even had a big rig-sized trophy that was almost as tall as the rig that won the race – a big prize for an even bigger victory!

Fast Dash – 10 Laps
The No. 90 of Frank Denning put the hammer down and took off right away, leaving the No. 66R of Eric Rhead and the No. 4X of Lynn Hardy to settle the battle for second place amongst themselves. Their battle allowed the No. 51F of Cade Fox the chance he needed to cut the distance, and after battling a loose race car, Fox regrouped and took control of third from Hardy. Denning continued to show the way up front, unintimidated by the rest of the pack, and led from flag-to-flag to claim the Fast Dash win of the night.
Feature – 30 Laps
While the No. 89 of Jacob Smith led the opening lap, Fox quickly carved his way through the field, clearing the No. 3 of Jeremiah Hill for second by Lap 3. Out front, Jacob Smith built a comfortable gap as Hill slipped back through the running order – and on the opposite end of the spectrum, the No. 69 of Forrest Smith began making up ground after starting near the rear. By Lap 8, Fox had closed on Jacob Smith, cutting the margin down to just a few car-lengths. The battle heated up throughout the middle stages as Fox stalked Jacob Smith, closing the gap whenever Jacob Smith gave him an opening. Fox practically became fused with Jacob Smith’s bumper at the halfway point, chasing him through the first two turns before making his move in Turn 3. Fox gained the upper hand in the fight and began to pull away.
Meanwhile, Rhead mounted a charge, demoting Hardy for third and drawing a bead on Jacob Smith, too. However, he couldn’t make anything stick; Jacob Smith barely held onto second as the flagman poised with the white in-hand. Fox completed the final circuit to collect his fourth victory of the 2025 season, extending his streak and taking over the points lead by one point. Jacob Smith barely fended off Rhead for second, while Forrest Smith nipped Hardy at the line for fourth.

Fast Dash – 10 Laps
After a few botched attempts to start, the No. 9 of Curtis Heldenbrand took control, but not for long as the No. 1F of Happy Ferree quickly made it a two-way conversation for the lead. Ferree quickly ran off with the position, leaving Heldenbrand to fight the No. 22 of Brian Yackey and the No. 29 of Dalton Webb for second place. Yackey took third away from Webb after plenty of deliberation, while the No. 16 of Travis Roe overtook Webb for third. After a minor late-race incident, Ferree was undeterred, continuing to lead and picking up the win.
Dash – 10 Laps
The No. 55 of Luke Johnson and the No. 21 of Chris Nelson brought the field to green and immediately went side-by-side for the top spot. Johnson gained the advantage – just barely – while the No. 00 of Brad Skufca lurked in third. Johnson worked the outside lane, finding momentum, although Nelson didn’t let up, staying right on him. Finally, Nelson found a way around Johnson, taking control of the race as the No. 85 of Jeff Walbaum took a shot at Johnson on the last lap. Johnson managed to hang onto P2, just barely, while Nelson went on to grab the win.
Feature – 30 Laps
After a multicar incident on the first lap that dealt damage to several competitors, Yackey got the jump on the start, already racking up a massive lead just two laps in. The No. 86 of Timothy Coate ran second, followed by Roe and Webb knotted together for third place. Ferree demoted Heldenbrand for fifth, and then, on Lap 7, another multicar crash took out several frontrunners, changing the scope of the top five. The restart put Yackey and Heldenbrand on the front row for the restart. Yackey took the lead, ditching Heldenbrand and Webb. The No. 11 of Steve Johnson battled his way into fourth, putting Walbaum behind him, while up front, Heldenbrand began closing slightly on Yackey for the lead. With eight laps left, Heldenbrand chipped away at Yackey’s advantage, but Webb hung with the both of them in search of an opportunity to take control. Yackey pulled ahead, however, and Heldenbrand had to now worry about Webb, while Roe and Steve Johnson stayed locked in a dead heat for fourth. Yackey led to the line, grabbing the victory over Heldenbrand and Webb, while Roe nabbed P4 at the stripe.

Fast Dash – 10 Laps
As the No. 32 of Cody Milan launched into the lead, the No. 68 of Wyatt Dent worked his way up to third, going side-by-side with the No. 03 of Darrell Stewart. The No. 5R of Reagan Fruge pressured Milan for the lead, but to no avail. Dent and Stewart traded third for a few laps as the No. 78C of Colton Crocker snuck up on them, quickly slotting himself into second place. The leaders then made contact, triggering a red flag-worthy wreck that halted the race on Lap 6. Fruge and Dent took the race back to green, but Stewart nudged back into second place. After an insanely close finish, Stewart was declared winner after postrace inspection was complete.
Dash – 10 Laps
The No. 33 of Dillyn Kellogg launched out front – at least, until the No. 17 of Jeremy Krueger launched an offensive, sweeping into the lead. After a minor incident and yellow flag, the No. 73 of Mike Markison emerged as the second-place runner. Markison pressured Krueger, trying to get by for the lead, but he ran out of laps to make something happen – and it would be Krueger ahead at the line.
Feature – 25 Laps
Bryanna Bruce’s No. 12 – having started in the second row – made short work of the first-row starters, leading the opening lap as Dent shot into line behind her. The No. 6 of Larrell Scott moved into second place as Dent overtook Bruce for the lead. Bruce fell off the pace; Milan passed her, taking over third place and pressuring Scott. Up front, Dent continued to lead as Milan chased the back end of his race car, allowing Bruce to take third once again. Crocker began working his way through the field as Scott kept working on Dent for the lead. With heavy lapped traffic ahead, Dent held off Scott as Crocker’s race car became steadily larger in the rear view mirrors of the leaders.
Scott stayed right on Dent through traffic as Crocker nudged his way into fifth place. Milan slipped outside the top five, letting the No. 14S of Austin Steinke take his place in fifth. Then, a few multicar incidents slowed the field under yellow, lining Dent and Scott up on the front row for the restart. Dent easily took control, forcing Scott back into second place. Scott faded – he slipped behind Bruce and Crocker as Bruce began tracking Dent. However, Bruce could not shake Crocker, and she eventually surrendered second place to him. A single-car incident forced a late-race restart. Crocker was all over Dent for the lead, but Dent hit his marks and sliced off every shot Crocker took at him. Dent cruised to the finish, deflecting one final run from Crocker, and the 14-year-old Dent took the checkers first, earning his first win of 2025 in epic fashion.

Outlaw Feature – 14 Laps
The No. 23 of Peyton Opperman took the lead, but he had a rearview full of Liam Hammond’s No. 60 machine on Lap 2. Try as he might, he couldn’t hold off Hammond, who took the lead on Lap 3. From there, Hammond checked out until his lead was neutralized by a caution for a single car incident, but he took control uncontested once again. Even diving through lapped traffic couldn’t slow him off the pace, and he picked up his seventh win of the season on dominating fashion.
Bandit Feature – 14 Laps
Headed by the No. 29 of Nora Smith, the field took the green flag. The No. 23M of Izaak Mead was already up to P3 after starting almost dead last. The No. 07 of Madison Stanley entered the conversation too as the top four strung out nose-to-tail. Mead took over second place from the No. 98 of Kyleigh Novak, swinging to the outside of Smith as he took over the race lead. Mead set sail while Stanley worked on Novak for third place, then shot past Smith, too. Up front, Mead hit his marks and took home the victory.
Jr. Bandit Dash – 12 Laps
The No. 35 of Maverick Arechiga shot out front in short order, opening a massive lead over the No. 8 of Adalynn Smith. Arechiga maintained his lead by a longshot while the No. 03 of Leah Almaswari tried to track down Smith, running right in her tire tracks. Almaswari could not pull it off, though, and settled for third as Arechiga led them both across the line.
Jr. Bandit Feature – 12 Laps
Almaswari got off to a hot start, but Arechiga made his presence known just two laps in, taking control of the race on Lap 4. Arechiga then caught slower traffic and picked them off one by one, lapping the entire field as he showed the way. He kept up his clean pace, setting sail and earning a decisive victory.
