General RV Night At The Races A Showstopper At CNS

June 20, 2026 - Dacono, CO

Father's Day weekend brought one of the busiest racing programs of the season to Colorado National Speedway on June 20th, 2026, as fans packed the grandstands for an evening loaded with feature racing. The Pro Trucks and Late Models each took on double-feature duties, while the Super Stocks faced a challenge of their own with four feature races on the schedule, creating a night where every lap mattered and every position was hard-earned.

With families gathered to celebrate Father's Day weekend and racers putting everything on the line, the atmosphere around the speedway felt special from start to finish. If you missed any of the action, we've got you covered. Check out the full race recap below.

MATCO Tools Pro Trucks

Feature 1 – 25 Laps

With a shove from Rudy Vanderwal’s No. 34, Dalton Webb’s No. 29 wasted no time in taking control of the race after just two corners, leaving Travis Roe’s No. 16 and Vanderwal to decide second place amongst themselves. Roe got the position, and Vanderwal fell into the clutches of Curtis Heldenbrand’s No. 9, the No, 1F of Happy Ferree, the No. 22 of Brian Yackey, and the No. 85 of Jeff Walbaum, defending his position against a tight grouping of four trucks. Happy inserted himself into fifth place while Vanderwal tried to charge around the outside of Heldenbrand, but Heldenbrand took control of third place as Ferree overtook Yackey and Vanderwal.

Up front, Roe gradually reeled in Webb and hung right with him, staying glued to his quarter panel for a few laps before finally surging ahead and taking off with the top spot. Heldenbrand sat in second, followed by Yackey and Ferree, the pack all riding around in a single lane as the leaders caught the tail end of the field. Yackey raced side by side with Heldenbrand through lapped traffic, but ultimately took control of the position and relegated Heldenbrand to P4. With five laps left, the pack held formation, and Roe had nearly half a straightaway on Yackey, who overtook Webb for third and settled in for the final two circuits. It was the all-Roe show as he crossed the line well ahead of Yackey and Webb.

Feature – 30 Laps

The No. 86 of Tim Coate shot out front as Webb and Kip Sandell’s No.6 duked it out for second, but not before Roe entered the fight and raced alongside Sandell as they both went three-wide with Heldenbrand. That battle shook out with Coate continuing to lead Webb up front, Roe behind, Heldenbrand and Yackey following that. However, it didn’t take long for Yackey to pass Heldenbrand, claiming fourth place and taking aim at Webb. Yackey dove to the inside of Webb, slotting into third, while Coate fell in behind Roe after Roe mounted a charge right to the front. Yackey picked off Webb and Coate, drawing a bead on Roe as the field ran down slower traffic.

Roe continued to lead Yackey, breaking away from the rest of the pack as Yackey quickly depleted the gap. Navigating lapped traffic, Yackey had 10 laps to seal the deal. With each passing lap, Yackey chipped into Roe’s lead, while Coate held off Webb through lapped traffic. Yackey gained about a tenth of a second every lap, and with three to go, he was all over Roe’s rear bumper. Roe held his line as Yackey swung high, then low. The two made light contact as Yackey threw a Hail Mary coming out of the last corner, but Roe would not be denied and led Yackey across the stripe with barely any room between his tailgate and Yackey’s front fascia.

Clear Shift Late Models

Feature 1 – 25 Laps

The No. 40 of Brandon Newey took control of the race right away from the pole position, but the No. 39 of Ryan Newey answered with a hard charge around the high side while the No. 1 of Caleb Johnson lurked behind the top two, waiting for a shot at the lead. But by lap 3, Eric Meisner’s No. 51 had already entered the conversation, overtaking Johnson, but Johnson fired back on the outside. Neither could gain any ground until they split Brandon Newey, shooting past him and demoting him to fourth place. Meisner and Johnson resumed their battle for second place, racing wheel-to-wheel as they rounded the track. Meanwhile, the No. 99 of Tessa Marine looked to pass Brandon Newey, racing in double file formation behind the leaders. Meisner pulled even with Ryan Newey, trying to take the lead away and grabbing it just before they hit the stripe.

The top five broke away, leaving the rest of the pack in the dust as the No. 06 of Scott Johnson tried to hold off Joseph Andrade’s No. 32 for sixth place. However, Andrade got the advantage and set sail, but had a lot of ground to cover if he wanted a shot at the top five. And speaking of the top five, Brandon Newey took the high line to pass his brother Ryan before sweeping low and sealing the deal. Up front, Meisner continued to lead as Marine shouldered her way into second, but she had her work cut out for her with Johnson. Their battled allowed Brandon Newey to close the gap from third, suddenly making it a three-way discussion for the runner-up position. Brandon Newey swung high, trying to take advantage of their battle, as Marine and Johnson traded second back and forth behind Meisner. As Meisner checked out with the lead, Marine mounted one last charge and pulled just ahead of Johnson at the stripe, claiming the runner up position in a last-ditch effort.

Feature 2 – 30 Laps

Scott Johnson and the No. 12 of Adam Moe took control of the race as soon as the green flag fell. Scott Johnson jumped to an early lead, although he endured pressure from the rest of the field as Moe looked high and Andrade made the most of a risky three-wide move through Turn 1. Ryan Newey was tagged and drifted high, but managed to stay out of trouble and allowed Caleb Johnson to sink his claws into fifth place with a bead on Marine, but Meisner entered the battel and took it three-wide. Then, several cars inside the top five were involved in an incident that triggered a short red flag on Lap 8.

Once the racing surface was cleared, the field was shown the green – and then immediately shown the yellow as they piled up heading into Turn 1. Then, again, a caution waved for multiple race cars making contact in Turn 2. The race restarted on Lap 9, with Andrade and Meisner up front. Though Andrade got away with the lead, Meisner hung right with him, while Marine and Scott Johnson stuck right in their tracks. Meisner pulled even with Andrade, pacing him down the backstretch, but Andrade again got the advantage on Meisner and maintained sole possession of the lead. Marine caught the leaders, hanging right with Meisner. Then, Meisner shot into the outside lane, pulling alongside Andrade, but Andrade held onto the lower lane with a vengeance and didn’t let Meisner have the top spot easy. Finally, Meisner got the advantage as Andrade got slightly loose in Turn 4. Now that he was free of traffic, Meisner checked out. He completed the final circuits to win, sweeping both of the night’s races after a hard-fought charge toward the front.

Pueblo Bank & Trust Super Stocks

Fast Feature 1 – 20 Laps

The SS field wasted no time in heading out for its first Fast Feature, this time led by Anthony Albrandt’s No. 13 and the No. 12S of Shawn Sulley. Albrandt rocketed into the lead, but Dillyn Kellogg’s No. 33 emerged from the pack and looked low, trying to steal the top spot away from him. Kellogg pulled up right alongside Albrandt, then clawed his way past him, lunging into the lead just as several cars made contact and triggered a caution. Albrandt defended the lead on the restart from a hard-charging Kellogg and the No. 11W of Scott Long. Albrandt checked out as the Sulley put the heat on Long for second, place, and the No. 9 of Brent Cave picked off Kellogg, who fell to fifth. Cave picked off Sulley, then made the conversation for second place a side-by-side battle with Long, pulling even with him at the halfway point and demoting him in short order.

Now, Long rallied back against Sulley, in danger of falling out of the top three, while the No. M60 of Morrie Christner inserted himself into the top five and booted Kellogg off the scoreboard. Up front, Cave made it a tight battle with Albrandt, sticking right with him and taking the lead down the back stretch. Now, Albrandt had his hands full of Sulley and Christner, who shot around on the high side and turned second-place into a three-wide battle. Christner backed out, though, but quickly gathered himself and found an opportunity to surge ahead, passing both Sulley and Long in one fell swoop. Now out of the lead, Albrandt plummeted to fifth place, then dropped behind Kellogg as the field evenly spaced out, all chasing Cave. Christner made a late-race charge against Sulley, trying to take away second place, and as Cave crossed the finish well ahead of the pack, Christner and Sulley brought it right down to the line for the runner-up position. Sulley barely had it at the stripe, making for a thrilling finish.

Fast Feature 2 - 20 Laps

The No. 25 of Greg Dreiling took control of the race at the drop of the green flag. However, he had pressure from the No. 61 of John Humphrey, who inserted himself into second place and took off after Dreiling up front. As Dreiling continued to show the way, the No. 23 of Jordan Abeyta swung low and tried to overtake Humphrey, but let off when his race car got a little sideways and regrouped for another attack on the backstretch. He got the position this time and took off after Dreiling, although a new challenger emerged from the pack as Christner swept high and charged into third. However, just after Abeyta took control of the top spot, Dreiling spun after contact with another car, triggering a caution.

Abeyta took the green up front alongside the No. 99 of Dillon Meigs. With a shove from Humphrey, Abeyta took the lead with Meigs in hot pursuit. However, Humphrey fell dramatically off the pace, dropping through the standings and drifting high as the pack freight-trained past him. The No. 32 of Rick Phillips assumed the final top five position – at least, until he got a bit loose, allowing Kellogg to take the position instead. Cave and No. 12C of Chris Cox battled right behind him as the fights deep in the pack heated up. Cox finally fought his way into fifth place, cracking the top five as the No. 82 of Ian Clark and Meigs continued their battle for second place. And while this was all happening, Abeyta maintained his lead, gapping the field by a healthy margin as Clark finally got the upper hand in his fight against Meigs. Cox looked to the inside of Long, then drew a bead on Meigs as the field came back around to take three to go. Cave also cracked the top five, and both he and Cox matched their pace to the leader as they did their best to cut the distance on Abeyta and Clark as the laps ran down. After the white flag waved, a single car spun out, and the race was declared official with Abeyta up front, followed by Clark and Cox.

Feature 1 – 20 Laps

Led by the No. 12 of Rick Cooper and the No. 10W of Gauge Witthar, the first of four SS features accepted the green flag. Cooper and Witthar raced side by side as the No. 18Y of Justin Young found a hole and sliced into third, looking to the inside of Cooper on the second lap, but had to back out. Then, he took another pass at the lead in Turn 1 and galloped past Cooper, who faded as the No. 59 of David Wilson took control of P3. Wilson pressured the No. 5T of Zayne Tatro for P3, but had to back off as the leaders ran down lapped traffic. A two-car incident in Turn 2 slowed the race under caution after just 6 laps.

Young took control of the race lead on the restart, but not without pressure from Tatro on the outside. Two cars tangled again in Turn 4 but cleared the racing surface before the pack got to them. Up front, Young had broken away from the pack, while Witthar and Tatro battled hard for third place, opening the door for Emilio Abeyta’s No. 75 to complete the pass on Tatro and take over P4. Up front, Tatro got a shot at the lead coming off Turn 4 and took it, using his momentum to slingshot into a one car-length lead in no time. With four laps to go, another incident triggered a caution, once again slowing the field. Young again took a shot at the lead on the restart, but fell back as Tatro surged past on the inside. Abeyta entered the mix, too, and as Tatro gapped the field, Young suddenly found himself under fire from Abeyta. Tatro ran away with the victory as Abeyta pulled even with Young, and barely held onto the runner-up position at the line. Tatro, Young, Abeyta, and Witthar all earned a transfer into the Fast Feature for their finishes.

Feature 2 – 20 Laps

The No. 95 of Jessilyn Dyke sliced into the lead as soon as the green flag dropped, followed by the No. 3.2 of Robert Davey and Cooper. Dyke got away with the race lead, but couldn’t quite shake Davey. Cooper fell into third place, while the No. 42 of Brandon McCormick defended fourth against a tight grouping of race cars all looking for their shot at the top five. McCormick endured contact from a competitor, but managed to keep his race car from snapping loose – and keeping the position while he was at it. Up front, Dyke continued to lead, but had a challenge from Davey, who rapidly closed the gap by the halfway point. Davey looked low, diving to Dyke’s driver’s side quarter panel, but backed out as she held her line. He lined up another shot on the next lap and finally pulled even with her on the backstretch, using the inside lane to finally overtake her and move up in front of her. From there, Davey set sail and continued to lead, showing Dyke and Wilson across the stripe, respectively.

Quick Time: No. 12C, Chris Cox, 20.033

Fast Feature 1: No. 9, Brent Cave

Fast Feature 2: No. 23, Jordan Abeyta

Feature 1: No. 5T, Zayne Tatro
