August 15, 2025 - Dacono, CO
The INEX Legends stormed Colorado National Speedway on Friday, August 15th, 2025, delivering a packed night of wheel-to-wheel action with drivers from across the country. Our familiar local Bandoleros, Pure Stock, and Train divisions rounded out the card, keeping fans on their feet all evening.
The midseason Legends championship couldn’t have asked for better weather, and the drivers left nothing on the table as they chased both checkered flags and bragging rights. It was night two of a three-day racing marathon, and if you weren’t there (or just want to relive it) here’s everything that went down Friday night.
INEX Legends
Dash A – 15 Laps ($500 to win, top four transfer to A Main)
Madilyn Lange, driving the No. 21L, fired off to lead early, but the No. 38 of Garrett Wilson mounted a charge – one he couldn’t make stick. Wilson fell back to battle the No. 73 of Mike Markison, going wheel to wheel for a few laps while the No. 17 of Jeremy Krueger stalked them both. Wilson shook Markison, who dropped through the standings to fifth place. Up front, Lange continued to lead Wilson, who finally got a shot at Lange when they came up on slower traffic, pacing her for a lap until he was able to pull even with her. The lead became the most hotly contested position track as Wilson and Lange continued to race wheel to wheel – a battle that didn’t let up until the line. Lange barely edged out Wilson in a thrilling photo finish decided by just 0.007 seconds. Lange, Wilson, the No. 21X of Corey Pearson, and Kreuger earned transfer spots into the feature.
Dash B – 15 Laps ($500 to win, top four transfer to A Main)
Headed by the No. 4W of Stuart Wilkerson and the No. 42 of Steven Bazen, the second Legends dash got off to a good start – at least, until a pair of race cars inside the top five spun out. They managed to stay out of worse trouble and cleared the racing surface, enabling Wilkerson to get away with a massive lead over the No. 27 of Brian Harlow. The top three filled half the track on their own just five laps in, chasing Wilkerson up front. The No. 5R of Reagan Fruge battled his way back inside the top five after being involved in the earlier incident, muscling his way into P3 with just five laps to go. From there, Wilkerson put several lapped cars between himself and Harlow, cruising to the victory. Meanwhile, Bazen barely knocked the No. 97 of Billy Blevins out of P4 for the final transfer spot at the stripe, meaning Wilkerson, Harlow, Fruge, and Bazen transferred to the feature.
Fast Dash – 17 Laps
The No. 17M of Taylor Mayhew shot out in front with Chris Eggleston’s No. 22 machine hot on his heels, but a multicar incident triggered a caution before the second lap was in the books. When the green fell, several cars spun out again in Turn 1, once again slowing the field. For a third time, Mayhew defended the lead, at least until the No. 99B of Spencer Bradshaw and Eggleston surged past. Eggleston had the lead just a lap later, ditching the pack. Bradshaw wiggled a bit and plummeted, allowing the No. 78C of Colton Crocker to claim P2 and Mayhew to claim P3 as Bradshaw fell to fourth. With clear track ahead, Eggleston set a breakneck pace, as the No. 9 of Kaden Bradshaw knocked on Spencer Bradshaw’s door to crack the top four. Spencer Bradshaw managed to hold him off, though, gapping him as Eggleston continued to lead with Crocker in tow, a few car-lengths back. The field held steady and Eggleston flashed under the checkered flag in first.
B Main – 20 Laps ($500 to win, top four transfer)
Markison wasted no time in taking control of the race, leading Blevins, the No. 27C of Steven Nester, and the No. 13P of David Price in a single file line. Blevins began the arduous task of tracking down the quick machine of Markison, but Nester became bigger and bigger in his rearview, forcing him to focus on holding him off while trying to cut into the lead. Then, on Lap 7, two cars made contact and ended up stopped in the Turn 2 apron, neutralizing Markison’s lead and giving Blevins a shot at him from the front row. Blevins took control, but only briefly as Markison fired back. They traded positions for a few tense laps, neither able to find an advantage. Then, Blevins spun from the front of the pack, prompting a caution. Markison now had to hold off a fast-approaching Marc Karashinski in the No. 17K, but he made it work, ditching Karashinski by several car-lengths. Meanwhile, Blevins controlled third after marching up from the rear of the field after his earlier mishap. The No. 95 of Jessilyn Dyke knocked on the door to the top four, sweeping past Price on the last lap to secure the position and the final transfer spot at the line. Markison, meanwhile, finished the final lap well shut of the rest of the field to win. And to add icing to the cake, Markison had the fans howling with his enthusiastic postrace interview on the frontstretch.
A Main – 30 Laps ($1500 to win)
With control of the race in his hands, Eggleston shot out front, but before a lap could be completed, a multicar wreck unraveled on the backstretch as the No. 99 of Brody Whitback took a wild ride going side-over-side, necessitating an immediate red flag. All drivers were able to exit their vehicles under their own power, and once the accident was addressed, the field was reset for a complete restart. Eggleston once again took control, fending off Mayhew and Kaden Bradshaw – until another multicar incident occurred on Lap 4, once again slowing the field under caution. After a botched start, the field was reined back in and the restart attempted one more time. Finally, it stuck, turning the lead over to Mayhew. He took off as Eggleston looked low, thinking about bringing it three wide, but backed out and took possession of P2. Even as the field strung out in a single file line behind them, Eggleston didn’t let up, pulling even with Mayhew before expertly shooting past him and putting one car-length between them. As Mayhew set about chipping into Eggleston’s lead, the third-place No. 09 of Chase VanHouten stayed right in their tire tracks, followed by Kaden Bradshaw and Crocker, all settling in for the long haul.
Eggleston still held control at the halfway point, stretching his advantage by several car-lengths over Mayhew. Eggleston began to catch lapped traffic, forcing him to choose a different line to navigate them, but once he was clear, he had stretched his lead even more. Mayhew wasn’t so lucky – the slower traffic allowed VanHouten to catch up, wearing out his rear bumper as Kaden Bradshaw gained on them both. Kaden Bradshaw finally found some speed and worked it to pass VanHouten, cracking the top three. The field – 32 cars strong – now filled every corner of the track. VanHouten fell back, dropping out of the top five as the No. 51R of Brenden Ruzbarsky and Crocker filled out the rest of the scoring pylon in his stead. Though he still had to deal with slower cars, Eggleston stretched his lead to over two seconds at the line. Kaden Bradshaw eked into the runner-up position on the last lap as Crocker claimed the final podium position. Mayhew wrapped up fourth, and Ruzbarsky rounded out the top five.

Puzzle Effect Bandoleros
At CNS, the Bandoleros division showcases the youngest racers on the track - some just eight years old! The pint-sized drivers cut their teeth at 30 to 50 mph on a shortened course that loops through Turns 1 and 2 of the “big” track before diving into the infield and circling back around. Like the drivers themselves, the races may be small, but they pack a punch, and they’re a vital part of the CNS family.
Outlaw Feature – 12 Laps
Ryker Gastineau guided his No. 6 to the point as the No. 60 of Liam Hammond already charged into second place after starting on the second row. The No. 95J of Jaxon Muhler took third with the No. 2 of Dutch Vanderwal close behind. Hammond took control of the race while Muhler gave Vanderwal a run for his money, but as they focused on each other, Hammond took off with a comfortable lead, even through heavy traffic. Hammond dominated the race to the finish, claiming his fifth victory of the season.
Bandit Feature – 12 Laps
The No. 26 of Dale Bain emerged as leader after a chaotic start with the No. 07 of Madison Stanley close behind. Stanley reeled in Bain and split a lapped car to take command out front. Izaak Mead in the No. 23 climbed to third on Lap 3 as the pack fanned out three-wide behind them. Mead mounted a charge on Lap 5 past Bain for second. Up front, Stanley opened up a sizable advantage over Mead – but the race turned in the closing laps as Stanley found herself slowed by heavy traffic before suffering an apparent mechanical issue that dropped her from contention. Mead capitalized to take the win, while Bain held off the No. 28 of Chandler Gasser in a close battle to the line for second place.

Feature – 10 Laps
When the green fell, the No. 18Y of Justin Young and the No. 34 of Ronnie Johnson gave each other hell for a lap before Young finally shook Johnson and settled into the lead, but then a caution waved over a single-car incident, lining them back up alongside each other to do it again. This time, Johnson found an advantage up high and took the lead, with the No. 63 of Kenneth Bowlus in hot pursuit. The field strung out single file, following Johnson as he showed the way. Then, Young brought the fight back to Johnson’s door, passing him heading into Turn 4 and quickly laying down a car-length between them. Ronnie closed the gap on the last lap and took one final shot at Young but to no avail; Young completed the final circuit to win with Johnson following in his tire tracks.
Feature 2 – 25 Laps
The first turn of the first lap was a bit of a mess, but the pack managed to keep it together, filtering the No. 54 of Giovanni Scimeca into the lead with Young in hot pursuit. The pack stayed relatively close to one another as the No. 53 of Josh Hopkins launched an offensive on the outside lane, galloping past Young and challenging Scimeca for the lead. Before that fight could reach its zenith, two race cars slammed together, drawing a yellow flag. Scimeca maintained the lead when the green fell again, receiving a challenge from Bowlus, who muscled his way into the top spot at the halfway point. Scimeca fired back as the No. 12S of Shawn Sulley entered the conversation. Sulley overtook Scimeca as the field became a one-lane freight train. Scimeca rallied back on Sulley, even as the pack approached lapped traffic, creating an obstacle course in motion for the leaders. Scimeca and Sulley bounced off one another heading to the line, and their conversation allowed the No. 53 of Hopkins to slip by both of them, taking advantage when they held each other up. After postrace inspection and the resulting penalties, Sulley was declared the winner after his surprise to the front of the pack.

Lowry Insurance Trains
Feature – 7 Laps Scheduled, 5 Laps Complete
The No. 80HD SNAFU took the lead, ditching the No. 91 Friday Night Special, who couldn’t get their Train going. Enter the No. 41G Funny Farm, who lunged past SNAFU, leaving them to deal with the No. 151 Crazy Train for P2. A tire separated from one of the Trains, rolling all the way through the turns and creating an obstacle for the drivers to avoid as the laps ticked down. The race almost took a backseat to the loose tire as the fans went absolutely feral over the unforeseen obstacle – which bounced down the backstretch and almost completed a full lap on the circle track all by itself! Undeterred, Funny Farm continued to lead, until a bizarre last-lap incident triggered a red flag, prompting officials to call the race two laps early with Funny Farm well out front.
Feature: No. 41G, Funny Farm
