Pro Truck & Late Models Race for a championship this weekend at CNS

Last weekend Colorado National Speedway saw its first two champions crowned, Kyle Clegg in the Grand American Modifieds & Kyle Carrasco in the Pure Stocks. Click here to read the recap.
This Saturday, in addition to the much anticipated Outlaw Figure 8’s, we will be awarding two more championships in the Matco Tools Pro Trucks & Galitz Transportation Late Models.

MATCO TOOLS PRO TRUCKS
This season the Pro Trucks have been very competitive, with 4 different winners in 7 races. #82 Michael Scott has the most victories with 3 & #65 Chris Eggleston grabbing a win on the season, with neither Scott or Eggleston competing for the championship it will be decided by whoever has been the most consistent over the season.
Heading into Saturday, just 8 points separate the top 3 competitors.

Rookie Of the Year:

This years rookie of the year battle will come down to the wire with 10 points separating two drivers competing for ROTY.

GALITZ TRANSPORTATION LATE MODELS
The Late Models have been ultra competitive this season with 5 different winners in 8 races. 7 of the 8 wins are from drivers that are inside the top 5 in the points heading into Saturday. #76 Chad Cowen is the only other driver to visit victory lane not inside the top 5 in points. Much like the Grand American Modifieds, the top 2 drivers in points are separated by 1 point, with the top 4 separated by only 20 points.

#8 Dan Alamaa & #15 Michael Hannah are both looking to win their first Late Model Championship, while #98 Lee Kemmit is trying to win his 3rd, along with #31 Rick Smith, who is looking to become a champion for the 3rd straight year & 4th overall title in the division.

Rookie Of The Year:
The Late Model Rookie of the Year battle is between two drivers A51 Matthew Hill & #63 James Starcher. Hill has a 29 point lead in the ROTY battle over Starcher heading into Saturday’s Finale.
