Pro Trucks, Late Models & Trains to Crown 2025 Champions

September 25, 2025 - Dacono, CO

Last Saturday, September 20, No. 32 Brett Yackey picked up back to back championships (fourth overall) in the Super Late Models, No. 66 Eric Rhead & No. 51 Cade Fox won the Grand American Modified championship, No. 49 Chris Cox won his fifth championship in the Super Stocks & No. 15 Jereme Wall won his third championship in a row (ninth overall) in the Figure 8’s which all came down to the final laps in each main event during the Guardian Roofing Challenge Cup 50 with No. 11 Darren Robertson picking up $5,000 thanks to Steve's Transmissions & Gears In Memory of Dave Savage for winning Challenge Cup.


As we look ahead to this Saturday, three more champions will be decided in the Matco Tools Pro Trucks, Late Models & Lowry Insurance Trains. With tight points battles and two features for each of the division, this weekend guarantees intense racing as every position matters in deciding the 2025 track champions.


Matco Tools Pro Trucks

Year in and year out, the Pro Truck division continues to produce some of the best racing at CNS with close side-by-side battles week in and week out. 2022 Pro Truck champion, Curtis Heldenbrand has been extremely consistent all season long never finishing outside the Top 10 and he picked up his first win of the season on August 23rd. 2021 Champion No. 22 Brian Yackey has picked up 2 wins this season and has been right on the heels of Heldebrand all season long. 2010 Pro Truck Champion No. 1 Happy Ferree returned to CNS in 2025 and has been dominate this season picking up 4 wins and if not for a couple nights of bad luck would be right in the hunt for the championship title. Last Years Champion No. 16 Travis Roe has also had a couple nights of bad luck and has nearly gone to victory lane on a couple of occasions this season. No. 50 Tyler Wiggans in the only other drivers to pick up a win this season which came on June 21st. This close battle in points will be one to watch.

Rookie of the Year:

The 2025 Rookie of the Year honors will go to No. 88 Ashlyn Himler who is a graduate of the Legend Cars.

CNS Late Models:

The Late Models have put on outstanding racing all season as some new faces have emerged throughout the season. This season has seen 4 different winners including 2023 Champion No. 8 Dan Alamaa who currently sits second in points. A couple of young guns have emerged this season including former Legend Car competitor No. 99 Tessa Marine who is still searching for her very first career win at CNS & currently sits 4th in points. A big surprise came on June 21st when No. 1 Caleb Johnson fended off several challengers and picked up his first ever win then followed it up on August 2nd with another win. Johnson currently sits 3rd in points. The most consistent driver all season has been points leader No. 40 Brandon Newey. Newey has been close to getting his first ever CNS win in 2025 and will be in contention during both features races. If Newey can hang onto the championship it would be his first ever title. Other drivers to visit victory lane this season include 2024 runner up No. 51 Eric Meisner (2 Wins), & former Late Model Champion Brett Yackey driving No. 98Y (1 Win). This will be a great battle to watch Saturday night.

Rookie of the Year

Lowry Insurance Trains

The Trains welcomed a brand-new title sponsor in 2025 with the help of our friends at Lowry Insurance. The trains saw a resurgence in 2025 with a few new trains in the mix and with that has led to even more craziness and X action. 10-Time Champion No. 86 Last Call currently holds a slim margin No. 41 Funny Farm (J&H Livestock) & 2024 Champion No. 80HD SNAFU. Last Call is going for this 11th overall championship. The top 3 are separated by only 4 points with Funny Farm looking to claim their first championship, while SNAFU is looking to make it 3 championships in a row.

In addition to these great divisions, CNS will also be featuring a Drift Competition from our Friends at Drift Colorado. This is the second time this season the Drifters will be in competition, this time competing for a professional license.
