June 11, 2026 - Dacono, CO
A hot night was the perfect backdrop for some heated racing at Colorado National Speedway on July 11th, 2026. Fans gathered to watch a stellar lineup of Late Models, who laid down blisteringly fast action, along with good old short track fun from our Super Stocks, chaos and competition from our Legends, and a glimpse into the future thanks compliments of the Bandoleros. Rounded out with some dirt action from the Demo X Lites and Heavies, fun, affordable excitement was the order of the night. During intermission, the NoCo Model A Club and Top of the Rockies Corvette Club laid down some rubber on the oval, giving fans something to cheer for even when there weren’t race cars on track.
If you missed the action – or just want to relive it – check it all out in this weekend’s recap.
Clear Shift Automotive Late Models
Fast Dash – 10 Laps
The No. 32 of Aaron Franco and the No. 39 of Ryan Newey led the field to the green and immediately battled for the lead. The No. 40 of Brandon Newey soon joined the fight, sweeping around the outside into second. Ryan Newey and Brandon Newey, driving nearly identical machines, set the pace while the No. 51 of Eric Meisner settled into third. Brandon Newey steadily reeled in the leader, opening a comfortable gap over third-place Meisner before finally pulling alongside Ryan Newey. The pair raced side by side to the finish, but Brandon Newey edged ahead at the stripe to claim the Dash victory.
Feature – 30 Laps
The No. 68 of Wyatt Dent rocketed into the lead at the drop of the green, leaving the No. OH6 of Mahkrysta Hilton and the No. 32 of Joseph Andrade to battle behind him. Meisner wasted little time charging into the top five, overtaking the No. 32F of Aaron Franco for fourth just three laps in. Brandon Newey also began closing on Franco before a caution for debris reset the field on Lap 6. When the race went green, the No. 99 of Tessa Marine challenged Dent for the lead, but Meisner stole the spotlight by surging three-wide to take over the top spot. Dent was shuffled all the way back to fifth as Meisner assumed command ahead of Andrade, Brandon Newey, and Marine. Another caution, this time for a single-car incident in Turn 4, slowed the action once again on Lap 14.
Meisner maintained the lead on the ensuing restart, tailed by Brandon Newey and Franco. Marine slipped past both Andrade and Franco to take over third while Meisner continued to set the pace. Further back, Dent fought to stay inside the top 10 before another caution flew when two cars tangled and spun in Turn 2. The final restart – which fell with nine laps left - saw Meisner hold firm out front as Brandon Newey swept around the outside to fend off Marine's challenge for second. Franco battled Andrade while negotiating slower traffic, allowing Ryan Newey to draw alongside in the closing laps. As Meisner led Brandon Newey to the checkered flag, Ryan Newey completed the pass on Franco at the line to steal fifth.
Quick Time: No. 51, Eric Meisner, 17.991
Fast Dash: No. 40, Brandon Newey

Pueblo Bank & Trust Super Stocks
Fast Dash – 10 Laps
The No. 35 of Greg Dreiling and the No. 99 of Dillon Meigs battled for the lead as soon as the green flag waved, but Dreiling got the advantage while the No. 18Y of Justin Young applied steady pressure through the opening laps. Dreiling quickly proved to have the fastest car, opening a comfortable gap as a tightly packed group raced side by side behind him. The No. 3 of Michael Cox quietly worked his way into third while Meigs and the No. 11W of Scott Long gave chase. Out front, Dreiling was never seriously challenged, cruising to the Fast Dash victory.
Dash – 10 Laps
The No. 3.2 of Robert Davey edged into the lead after a chaotic start, pacing the No. 88 of Jacob Poole and the No. 32 of Rick Phillips across the opening lap. Poole wasted little time mounting a challenge, pulling alongside Davey for several corners before taking over the lead. His advantage was short-lived, however, as Phillips stepped to the outside and made it a two-wide battle for the top spot. The No. 5T of Zayne Tatro joined the fight, charging into the top three while holding off Davey's attempts to reclaim the position. Phillips briefly assumed the lead, but Tatro found another burst of speed through Turn 3 and wrestled the top spot away as Poole slipped out of the top five. Phillips stayed alongside Tatro to the checkered flag, but Tatro found just enough grip coming to the line to secure the Dash victory.
Fast Feature – 25 Laps
The No. 11W of Scott Long and the No. 3 of Michael Cox traded the lead through the opening laps before Long finally established himself out front, leaving Cox to fend off challenges from the No. 99 of Dillon Meigs and the No. 9 of Brent Cave. The No. M60 of Morrie Christner steadily worked forward, first challenging Meigs before lining up a pass on Cave. Up front, the lead trio began to ditch the field while the No. 12S of Shawn Sulley and the No. 23 of Jordan Abeyta battled for sixth. Sulley eventually prevailed and cracked the top five just before halfway.
Long continued to pace the field as Michael Cox came under increasing pressure from No. 12C Chris Cox, who had charged from 7th on the starting grid. Several cars spun in Turn 2 but were able to continue without interrupting the race. No. 60M Morrie Christner eventually powered into third and began reeling in Long, filling the leader's mirrors before completing the pass in the closing laps. As the white flag flew, Chris Cox defended the lead and slightly extended his advantage to take the victory. Christner crossed the line second, while Long rounded out the podium.
Feature – 20 Laps
The No. 88 of Jacob Poole and the No. 57 of Jason Arbuckle raced side by side at the drop of the green until the No. 75 of Emilio Abeyta entered the battle, slicing into second. A multi-car incident in Turns 1 and 2 quickly brought out the caution and reset the field. On the restart, Abeyta wasted no time taking control, leading Poole and the No. 10W of Gauge Witthar. Witthar looked low on Poole for second, but another caution for a slow car in Turn 4 interrupted the battle. Abeyta again defended the lead as the green flag flew, as Witthar settled into second with Arbuckle close behind. Poole slipped to fourth while the No. 47 of Richard Murr worked his way free of a tight pack to claim fifth.
Up front, Witthar repeatedly closed to Abeyta's rear bumper, drawing alongside several times, but Abeyta shut the door on every challenge. Behind them, Murr applied similar pressure to Arbuckle in the battle for third, peeking to the inside before falling back in line by a nose at the stripe. Witthar made one final bid for the lead coming off Turn 4, hanging the rear of his car out as he chased Abeyta to the finish, but ultimately settled for second as Abeyta claimed the Feature victory.

Fast Dash – 10 Laps Scheduled, 5 Laps Completed
The No. 03 of Darrell Stewart defended the lead against the No. 15 of Danny Medina in the opening laps, while the No. 16 of Travis Roe looked to join the battle. An incident toward the back of the field brought out a red flag for cleanup early on. Stewart maintained control on the restart as the No. 00 of Chris Saykally charged around the outside. Another caution quickly followed after an incident in Turn 4 reset the field once again. Stewart jumped back to the lead while Saykally battled the No. 14S of Austin Steinke for second. A late spin brought the race to an early conclusion as the time limit had expired, and Stewart was credited with the Dash victory.
Dash – 10 Laps
The No. 71 of Jason Scott challenged the No. 47 of Daniel Stewart for the lead as soon as the green flag waved, eventually taking control after a hard-fought battle. Not long after, the No. 17K of Marc Karashinski launched a dive to the inside, briefly stealing the top spot before Scott fought back to stay alongside him. The No. 47 of Stewart remained close behind, waiting for an opening. With five laps remaining, contact among the leaders triggered a red flag after several cars became involved. Once the racing surface was cleared, Stewart inherited the lead, but the No. 27C of Steven Nester quickly took over at the front. His time out front was short-lived, however, as the No. 19 of Dominic Moss charged into the lead one lap later and steadily pulled away over the closing laps to capture the Dash victory.
Fast Feature – 25 Laps
The No. 14S of Austin Steinke did his best to break away from the field, but the No. 15 of Danny Medina quickly filled his mirrors. By Lap 5, the field had settled into single file, though Medina stayed within striking distance. Behind the leaders, the No. 03 of Darrell Stewart, the No. 12 of Bryanna Bruce, and the No. 6 of Scotty Scott rounded out the top five as the No. 5R of Reagan Fruge waited for an opening. Bruce made the first move, overtaking Stewart for third before Scott followed suit, dropping Stewart into the clutches of Fruge. As Steinke navigated lapped traffic, he continued to maintain his advantage over Medina. Scott later worked his way past Bruce for third, while Stewart successfully defended fifth from Fruge over the closing laps. Out front, Steinke put together a flawless drive, leading from start to finish to secure the Fast Feature victory.
Feature – 20 Laps
The No. 97 of Bill Blevins led the opening lap with the No. 19A of Austin Nester glued to his rear bumper, followed by the No. 8 of Jason Schmerse and the No. 95 of Jessilyn Dike. Nester stuck right with him through the opening laps but couldn't complete the pass as the top two separated themselves from the field. Behind them, Dike worked her way into third while Schmerse slipped backward, opening the door for the No. 23 of Tyler Casey to move into the top five. Meanwhile, Karashinski was on the charge, picking off Casey and Dike before setting his sights on the leaders.
Nester closed the gap once again, occasionally riding up on Blevins' rear bumper, but suddenly found Karashinski filling his mirrors. Just as Nester pulled alongside Blevins for another shot at the lead, a caution for a single-car incident in Turn 4 reset the field with eight laps to go. Karashinski wasted no time on the restart, charging past both Nester and Casey in a risky three-wide move to seize the lead. Nester settled into second ahead of Casey, while Blevins, after leading much of the race, slipped to fourth. With clean air ahead, Karashinski checked out, crossing the finish line an impressive 2.031 seconds ahead of the field.

Puzzle Effect Bandoleros
At CNS, the Bandoleros division showcases the youngest racers on the track - some just eight years old! The pint-sized drivers cut their teeth at 30 to 50 mph on a shortened course that loops through Turns 1 and 2 of the “big” track before diving into the infield and circling back around. Like the drivers themselves, the races may be small, but they pack a punch, and they’re a vital part of the CNS family.
Outlaw Dash – 10 Laps
The No. 95J of Jaxon Muhler grabbed the early lead before an incident toward the back of the field brought out the red flag. Track crews responded quickly, and after cleanup, the field returned to green. Muhler resumed the lead on the restart, but the No. 23M of Izaak Mead wasted little time mounting a challenge, pulling alongside and executing a textbook pass for the lead. Muhler searched for a way back around while the No. 07 of Madison Stanley remained close behind, but Mead never left the door open, driving away to claim the Outlaw Dash victory.
Bandit Dash – 10 Laps
The No. 15S of Declan Shaw controlled the race from the drop of the green, but the No. 35 of Maverick Arechiga stayed within striking distance throughout the event. Shaw maintained about a car-length advantage while the No. 28 of Chandler Gasser searched for a way into the battle. Arechiga steadily closed the gap over the final laps, but Shaw never gave him an opportunity, leading every lap to secure the Bandit Dash victory.
Rookie Dash – 10 Laps
The No. 25 of Edward Shupe jumped to the early lead, but the No. 22 of Lucas Jaramillo answered before the opening lap was complete, reclaiming the top spot. Jaramillo controlled the race from there, even as slower traffic began to factor into the battle. Shupe reeled the leader back in, trying both the high and low grooves in search of an opening. Jaramillo initially pulled away, but contact with a lapped car sent him spinning on the final lap, handing the lead to Shupe, who raced on to capture the Dash victory.
Outlaw Feature – 15 Laps
The No. 07 of Madison Stanley established an early lead, pulling away from the No. 44 of Emersyn Weitze and Mead, who also had to keep Muhler at bay. Stanley built a healthy advantage before a caution for multiple spinning cars erased the gap.
On the restart, Stanley maintained control while weaving through slower traffic, leading Mead and Weitze around the shortened course. Mead searched for an opportunity but was unable to challenge the leader. Even after both front-runners had to dodge a spinning car coming to the checkered flag, Stanley never faltered, driving to the victory while Mead secured second
Bandit Feature – 12 Laps
The No. 15S of Declan Shaw immediately went on the attack, making the field three-wide before the opening lap was complete, but ultimately settled into third. Up front, the No. 3 of Logan Torrez took control ahead of the No. 28 of Chandler Gasser, whose challenge ended after an incident shuffled him out of contention and promoted Arechiga into second. Shaw continued his charge toward the front, eventually taking over the runner-up position while Torrez remained in command. Late in the race, contact with a slower car collected several frontrunners and set up a restart with four laps remaining.
Shaw inherited the lead and quickly pulled away, with Arechiga and the No. 98 of Kyleigh Novak giving chase. Arechiga made one final bid in the closing corners, but Shaw held firm to capture the Bandit Feature victory.
