Ray wasted no time jumping out to a large lead and ultimately his second feature win in the division in 2016. By the end of the race Ray had built a near 4 second lead on the next closet competitor.

The best battle on the track was for second place between #08 Jace Hansen and #6 Dominic Ursetta who charged to the front from his 8th place starting spot. Hansen had come from even farther back in the pack starting in 9th but used an extreme low line coming out of turn 4 early in the race to pass multiple cars. For the last half of the race Hansen and Ursetta battled for position thrilling the fans. At the finish Hansen was able to hold off Ursetta to grab the runner-up spot but the night belonged to Kyle Ray who led flag to flag. Behind Ray, Hansen, and Ursetta, Simonson finished a strong 4th and former Pro Truck champion Mark Neff grabbed 5th in the #42 car.

Ultimately Case was able to work his way into 2nd place and began to battle Walbaum for the lead. Walbaum was running the high groove and Case was down low. With just a couple of laps remaining it appeared that Case would make the pass and cruise to victory but the determined Walbaum drove hard into turns 1 and 2 to maintain his lead.

Great Scott’s Eatery Super Stocks

#51 Jax Hughes came from the second row in the Great Scott’s Eatery Super Stock feature to grab the lead from #02 Darrell Smith in the initial stage of the race. Former champion Michael Cox in the #3 car then powered past Hughes for the lead but had fast dash winner #75 Levi Greenly hot on his tail. On lap 5 Greenly took the top spot and set sail attempting to distance himself from the field.

Robert Davey brought out the caution for a scary crash after contact with #5 Glen Poston on the back straight, Davey was okay but his car suffered severe damage.

The subsequent double-file restart tightened the field and gave #22 Brian Yackey and #9 Curtis Heldenbrand a shot at Greenly. For the remainder of the race both Yackey and Heldenbrand pushed their cars to the limit to find away around Greenly but to no avail as the Kersey resident grabbed his 2nd win of the 2016 season. Brett Yackey finished 2nd and also maintained his point lead over Michael Cox who finished 4th behind Heldenbrand who is now 3rd in the season standings.
