Final 2025 Champions crowned this Saturday at CNS

October 1, 2025 ~ ( Dacono, CO)

Colorado National Speedway will crown its final two divisional champions this Saturday as we celebrate Halloween a little early with our annual trick or treat Halloween celebration presented by Coca-Cola. All drivers competing on Saturday will be handing out candy for the kids as we park all the race cars (and a few friends) in the infield after qualifying! We will also have costume contests & more; this is a very special night to finish off an epic 2025 racing season. Our final two divisions to settle their championships include the AC Transmission Legends & The Puzzle Effect Denver Bandoleros. You’re not going to want to miss this amazing night of action featuring a whopping eight different divisions.

Last Week, No. 9 Curtis Heldenbrand picked up his second Pro Truck championship, while No. 40 Brandon Newey claimed his first championship in the Late Models. Click here to read the recap from September 27th.

This weekend we kick things off earlier, please note the start times for this Saturday’s race.

Halloween Celebration October 7th, 2023

AC Transmission Legends

As has been the case for several years now, the Legend Cars have continued to provide exciting and action-packed racing each time they hit the pavement and 2025 has been no exception and with the addition of a special Summer Nationals event that brought in drivers from across the country for a three-day show in August, we saw some new faces in Victory Lane. Currently points leader No. 78C Colton Crocker has been strong during local competition with three wins on the season and currently holds a 25 point lead. This would be Crocker's first ever Legend Championship if he can hang on. Currently second in points is long-time competitor No. 03 Darrell L. Stewart who has consistently been in the top 10 the last few years and finally in 2025 broke through on the 4th of July and got his first ever win at CNS. Last time the Legends competed, young gun No. 68 Wyatt Dent grabbed the win holding off Crocker, Stewart and others to get his first win of the season. The Bandolero graduate (and two time Bandolero champion) currently sits third in the standings.

Other drivers to visit victory lane in 2025 include 2024 Legend Champion No. 15 Danny Medina (1 Win), Multi-Time Track champion No. 22 Chris Eggleston, No. 17S Sean Salazar (1 Win during CARS Tour race on July 26th) & No. 17M Taylor Mayhew (1 Win during the CARS Tour Summer Nationals Finale on August 16th). The championship is still up for grabs with two feature events coming up.

Rookie of the Year Battle:

The 2025 Rookie of the Year honors will go to No. 14S Austin Steinke who graduated from the Bandoleros in 2024 after winning the Bandolero Bandit Championship. At just 10 years old, Steinke will become the youngest ever rookie of the year at CNS and once again proves that the Bandolero division is a great place to start for kids who are looking to get involved in racing.

Jr Bandits:

The Jr Bandits & Bandits are our youngest competitors who compete at the speedway their ages range from 7-11 years old and are developing their skills to continue to move up to the faster Outlaws class and eventually into Legend car or another division that competes at CNS.

In 2025 Colorado National Speedway introduced the Jr Bandit class to give young racers who are just turning their first laps a chance to compete against each other and develop their skills to compete with Bandits class. So far in 2025, four different Jr Bandits have visited victory lane including No. 77 Scarlett Aragon (1 Win), No. 28 Chandler Gasser (1 Win), No. 8 Adalynn Smith (1 Win) & No. 35 Maverick Arechiga who has won the last three Jr Bandit Features and is the current points leader in the Jr Bandits.

This class is a step up from the bandits and features drivers who have a couple of years’ experience racing in bandoleros and are 12 and older. With 2023 Outlaw Champion No. 12 Aspyn Lange graduating up to the Legend Cars for 2025, the door was wide open for a new champion to emerge. No. 60 Liam Hammond who was the 2024 Outlaw runner-up has been absolutely dominant in 2025 with 7 wins and has yet to finish outside of the top 5 all season. No. 61 Lillian Tuttle picked up 2 wins in 2025, however bad luck during the opening night of the summer nationals in August has her sitting fifth in the points. One other feature winner in 2025 was 2024 Bandit runner-up No. 95J Jaxon Muhler (1 Win on August 14th). Muhler graduated up to the Outlaw Class in 2025.
