Coca-Cola Halloween Celebration Closes Out 2025 CNS Season With A Bang

October 4, 2025 - Dacono, CO

Colorado National Speedway’s end-of-season Halloween celebration sent off our 60th anniversary in style, combining intense racing with plenty of costumed fun. After qualifying, more than 100 drivers parked in the infield for our annual Coca-Cola Halloween Trick or Treat Celebration. Drivers were joined by Sponsors, First Responders, the Hearse Club, and even Ricky Bobby dropped by to hand out candy and hang with fans. Before a single green flag dropped, the track was buzzing as fans young and old got to meet the competitors who’d soon be battling for championships (and bragging rights).

Intermission brought even more thrills with a drifting show (including two sideways-slinging Legends!) setting the stage for a stacked lineup featuring Legends, Bandoleros, Super Stocks & Pure Stocks, Figure 8s, Trains, and Demo X. It was one jam-packed night of racing and Halloween fun to close out the season and a perfect way to say goodbye to another incredible year at CNS. Check out all the highlights in the full recap below!

AC Transmissions Legends

Feature 1 – 15 Laps

A massive Legends field took the green for the division’s first of two Feature races. Colton Crocker quickly sent his No. 78C to the lead with the No. 68 of Wyatt Dent knocking on his door. By Lap 2, Crocker had Dent well in his mirror leading a single-file string of cars around the track. The No. 6, driven by Larrell Scott, looked to the inside of Reagan Fruge’s No. 5R, introducing the first two-wide battle of the night as Fruge was shuffled high and fell back, slotting into P6. Up front, though Dent did his utmost to get around Crocker, who continued to lead. Scott quietly assumed P3, with the No. 14S of Austin Steinke and the No. 32 of Cody Milan rounding out the top five. Lapped traffic loomed ahead, but Crocker stayed locked in, continuing to lead as they neared the halfway point. He was able to widen the gap as he led through lapped traffic, finally clearing slower cars and checking out once more. Steinke put pressure on Scott, looking to crack the top 3, but fell back as Scott dropped the hammer and outran him. Steinke brought it two-wide again, making P3 the most hotly contested position in the field as the race reached its zenith. Up front, as Crocker kept up his dominating performance, Steinke took one more shot at Scott, but couldn’t make it stick. Crocker picked up his fourth win of the year, followed by Dent and Scott rounding out the podium.

Feature 2 – 30 Laps Scheduled; 20 Laps Completed

Crocker had the points lead in a chokehold of 29 points heading into the final race of the season, but he still had to make it through the second LEG Feature to claim it - and anything could happen when 31 Legends took the green flag. Headed by the No. 4 of Stuart Wilkerson and the No. 03 of Darrell Stewart, the race got off to a wild start as the leaders went three-wide on the first lap. When the dust settled, Wilkerson was out front and Stewart faded fast. Meanwhile, Milan seemed on a one-man mission to claim control, doing so after just a few laps as Steinke sorted into second behind him. Now, race cars covered every corner of the track as Steinke stalked Milan, swinging past Scott to make it happen. Crocker, after starting 10th, was already up to 7th.

Then, the leaders tangled on Lap 12, resulting in a multicar incident that prompted a red flag. After the track was cleared, Steinke took control of the race, but Crocker was on the hunt – at least, until a yellow waved for a race car that reared up into the air after contact with another car on the backstretch, resetting the field under caution. Crocker took the green alongside Steinke just ahead of the halfway point, but Steinke hit his marks and took off as Crocker faded to third until another multicar incident unraveled the back half of the field at the apex of Turn 2. Another red flag ensued.

The race restarted, turning the lead over to Dent, but Steinke answered with a fast charge on the inside as Crocker took second place. Wilkerson maintained third place but the stop-start saga of the race continued as several race cars hit in Turn 2 again, removing one of the leaders from the equation. Because the race was rapidly approaching its time limit, it was cut down to a green-white-checkered finish. Steinke once again took control as the No. 17 of Jeremy Krueger – who started alongside him – got pushed out of line. Not to be outdone, Crocker took control of the race, but Steinke answered by firing back. But when a series of incidents unfolded in multiple turns before the white flag, Crocker was scored as the one out front, and he was declared the victor of the race. His race victory was cherry on top as he celebrated being the 2025 Legend Fast Champion. Steinke, having put up a fight, didn’t leave empty handed as the 2025 Legend Rookie of the Year.

Quick Time: No. 78C, Colton Crocker, 18.709

Feature 1: No. 78C, Colton Crocker

Feature 2: No. 78C, Colton Crocker

2025 Legend Champion: No. 78C, Colton Crocker

2025 Legend Rookie of the Year: No. 14S, Austin Steinke

Puzzle Effect Bandoleros

At CNS, the Bandoleros division showcases the youngest racers on the track - some just eight years old! The pint-sized drivers cut their teeth at 30 to 50 mph on a shortened course that loops through Turns 1 and 2 of the “big” track before diving into the infield and circling back around. Like the drivers themselves, the races may be small, but they pack a punch, and they’re a vital part of the CNS family.

Jr. Bandit Feature 1 – 10 Laps

Leading a small field of three competitors to the green, the No. 35 of Maverick Arechiga took control from the No. 03 of Leah Almaswari. Almaswari retorted by reclaiming the lead on the next lap as they raced side-by-side. Arechiga managed to claim the top spot for good with two laps left, leading the parade all the way to the checkered flag.

Jr. Bandit Feature 2 – 12 Laps

A single car incident on the first lap turned the lead over to Arechiga, who led Almaswari by nearly half a lap after just a few turns. All he had to do was drive a clean race to capture the victory. Arechiga continue to lead, hitting his marks and keeping the gap comfortable. He began to close on Almaswari from behind, proving how fast his race car was as he took the white flag. He almost managed to lap her on the final circuit, claiming the race win, sweeping the night and sealing his 2025 Jr Bandit Championship.

Bandit Feature 1 – 10 Laps

The No. 23M of Izaak Mead shot out to lead the first lap, but then, the No. 07 of Madison Stanley made a sweeping pass, inserting herself into P2 as she started to reel in Mead. As lapped cars loomed ahead, Mead had to hold of a hard-charging Stanley. He drove it in deep on the last lap, getting a little sideways and scrubbing off speed, but Stanley couldn’t take advantage of the slip – it would be Mead across the line first.

Bandit Feature 2 – 12 Laps

Picking up right where he left off, Mead captured the lead, but contact with a competitor sent him spinning and opened the door for the No. 29 of Nora Smith to dive into the lead. Stanley overtook the No. 96 of James Snyder, setting her sights on Smith up front, who had to back off the gas to deal with a lapped car. Stanley came up quick on Smith, making a pass at her but wasn’t able to make it stick. Stanley tried again, moving to the inside and finally completing the pass with four laps left. Now in sole possession of the lead, Stanley set sail. She took the white flag well out front, winning the race. Mead, who recovered to finish fourth, was crowned 2025 Bandit Champion.

Outlaw Feature 1 – 12 Laps

Jaxon Muhler guided his No. 95J to the front after a few botched start attempts. Liam Hammond put his No. 60 in P2, and then assumed the lead when Muhler had to exit the track due to an apparent mechanical issue. The No. 61 of Lillian Tuttle tried to sweep wide and take the lead, setting sail as the pack jostled behind her. Hammond fell off the pace and faded to fourth place. Up front, Tuttle maintained her lead, showing the way for the No. 2 of Dutch Vanderwal, who wrapped up second place.

Outlaw Feature 2 – 12 Laps

With another championship on the line, the Outlaw field took the green; however an incident on the first lap shook up the running order, putting Muhler into the lead with Hammond emerging from the pack to claim second. Muhler easily paced the field while Vanderwal held off a charge from Tuttle, keeping a death grip on P3 until Tuttle dove low and took the position. Muhler maintained his lead without contest as lapped traffic began to muddy the waters ahead of him. Muhler broke away as Hamond had a big moment with a lapped car in his line; they both escaped unscathed. By the time the white flag waved, Muhler had assumed a comfortable lead, completing one more circuit to win. Hammond, finishing fifth, claimed the 2025 Outlaw Championship.

Exhaust Pros Northglenn Figure 8s & Pueblo Bank And Trust Super Stock

Feature – 20 Laps

A healthy field half composed of Figure 8 cars and half of Super Stock entries filled out the field – the only time of year that the divisions share a track. The No. 8K of Beau Kellogg launched out front with the No. 50 of Justin McKeachie behind. It didn’t take long for the No. 13 of Frank Gastineau and the No. 3 of Michael Wolfe Jr. looking to split McKeachie. Kellogg quickly found himself under fire from Gastineau, who swept into the lead as X action heated up. 2025 F8 Champion Jereme Wall, No. 15, stalked the leader as drivers not used to taking The X had to decide whether or not to shoot the gap or stand on the brake. After a minor incident up front, Gastineau reassumed the lead with Wolfe swerving high and low behind him, intent on taking control of the race. Another close call in The X preceded a caution for a car high in Turn 2. After a brief caution to clean the racing surface, Gastineau once again took control of the race, although Wolfe and the No. 52 of Jared Wall were leaning on him. Before their battle could be decided, an incident between the leaders triggered a caution, turning the lead back over to Gastineau with Jared Wall holding down second. When the green flag dropped, Gastineau lunged out front; The X once again became a factor as drivers who were not F8 regulars made daring passes through the crossroads in front of the leaders.

Unfazed, Gastineau maintained his lead – although he almost clipped the back of a Super Stock headed the other direction. However, on his next pass through The X, Gastineau’s race car blew a tire and spun. This handed the lead to Jared Wall, who had to hold off his brother Jereme Wall on the restart. They raced two abreast until Jereme Wall got the upper hand by swinging to the outside. Wolfe, in third, stalked them both as Gastineau began the arduous process of marching through the field after his earlier flat tire incident. Jereme Wall gapped the field while Wolfe chipped into Jared Wall’s hold on second place. With five laps left, Jereme Wall, Jared Wall, and Wolfe did what they did best, shooting gaps through The X that they had no business shooting, lap after lap. Gastineau and the No. 49 of Chris Cox did battle further back in the field, but Gastineau powered past him after a tense discussion. Jared Wall and Wolfe raced side by side as the white flag loomed. Jereme Wall took his 10th Feature win of the year, while Wolfe took P2 when it mattered most, demoting 52 to a third-place finish.

Quick Time: No. 15, Jereme Wall, 27.206

Feature: No. 15, Jereme Wall

Pueblo Bank And Trust Super Stocks & Rock N Roll Brewery Pure Stocks

Feature – 25 Laps

Sharing a track, 30 SS and PS competitors took the green flag for their 25-lap race. The No. 34 of Ronnie Johnson launched into the lead, defending the position against a three-wide start that resulted in a multicar incident. Johnson fired off perfectly and once again took the lead on the restart, although he had some competition from the No. 4 of Chris Jordan, knocking on his door. After light contact, Jordan assumed the lead, while Chris Cox’s No. 49 slotted into third with the No. 82 of Ian Clark also in the mix. Cox and Clark brought their two-wide battle directly behind the leaders, and after splitting a lapped car, Cox was able to take control of the race. However, the No. 9 of Brent Cave inserted himself into the conversation, going to the inside of Cox to take control, leaving Jordan and Clark to battle it out for third. As more traffic became an obstacle ahead of the leaders, Cave deftly shot through the maze, ditching Cox.

A multicar incident toward the back of the pack triggered a caution, and then another caution waved as a race car stalled on the racing surface in an attempt to extract themselves from the earlier incident. When the green was finally able to drop – and stay dropped - Cave got out front in a hurry while Cox and Clark scrapped for second place behind him. Cox got the position as the No. 5W of Troy Witthar managed to shoulder his way into third place. Clark, shuffled to the outside, fell to fifth place. Jordan overtook Witthar for third, as Cox chased Cave across the finish line. Jordan wrapped up third, and Clark hung onto fifth place to the line.

Quick Time: No. 9, Brent Cave, 19.619

Feature: No. 9, Brent Cave

Lowry Insurance Trains

Feature – 7 Laps

The No. 41G Funny Farm launched into an early lead, stalked by the No. 80HD SNAFU. However, a single-car incident on the backstretch triggered a red flag. SNAFU assumed the lead on the restart as Funny Farm struggled to hold off the No. 22 Hot Mess Express for second place. As they chased each other up the track, the No. 86 Last Call – this season’s champion – made a daring pass on the inside, going three-wide as he assumed P3. Funny Farm suffered a flat tire and spun out from the lead as Last Call washed up the track, opening the door for SNAFU to take the lead again. Enter the No. 91 Friday Night Special, pressuring SNAFU for the lead, both swerving through The X as their battle stayed tight. SNAFU managed to eke out front, leading to the checkers in an insanely chaotic race.

Feature: No. 80HD, SNAFU

United Power Demo X

As though the night hadn’t already packed in enough action, the Demo X field headed out for an absolutely insane pair of races, pitting vehicles that were once family haulers and street-going machines against one another on the dirty infield jumps. Rollovers aren’t uncommon in either the Lite or Heavy divisions, and we saw plenty of sparks flying from busted wheels, bumpers, axles … you name it, it probably got dragged across asphalt and dirt alike. Sean Frank’s No. 15 machine emerged from the dust to win the Lite division, while Dave Johnson somehow guided his No. 31 to victory in the Heavy division.

Demo X Lite: No. 15, Sean Frank

Demo X Heavy: No. 31, Dave Johnson

What a ride! From the first green flag to the final checkers, 2025 was unforgettable. Big congratulations to our champions and endless thanks to the fans, crews, partners, and staff who make CNS the fastest short track in the West.

We’re not done yet, though! Battle of the Fenders hits in November! After that, buckle up for an even bigger 2026 season.
