Titan Concrete & Columbine Point of Sale Speedy Transaction Night A Thriller At CNS

May 16, 2026 - Dacono, CO

Under the lights at Colorado National Speedway, Saturday, May 16th, 2026 delivered a full slate of chaos. Late Models, a huge Legends field, and Bandoleros kept things tight, but the Drift Colorado crew stole the spotlight, throwing down on the Figure 8 for a shot at Formula Drift. Miss it? We’ve got you covered.

ClearShift Automotive Late Models

Feature 1 – 25 laps

The green flag dropped, and the No. 1 of Caleb Johnson shot out front. The No. 15 of Michael Hannah tried to make it three-wide and backed out, falling off the podium as Johnson continued to lead. But the No. 51 of Eric Meisner shook free of the gaggle, pressuring Johnson by looking to the inside. Meisner pulled even with Johnson for a few laps, while a three-way battle for third on back shaped up between Hannah, the No. 40 of Brandon Newey, and the No. 99 of Tessa Marine. As Meisner continued to lead, Hannah finally got ahead and started the long process of tracking down Meisner and Johnson. The rest of the field strung out behind them as the leaders closed on the back of the pack with 15 laps left on the board. With Hannah now in P3, the entire field strung out in a single line. Meisner weas able to widen the gap each time around as Johnson dug as deep as he could. There was no change anywhere in the field for a few laps as Meisner hung out in the front of the pack, steadily closing on the rear of the field. With four laps left, Meisner caught the slower traffic, giving Johnson a shot at passing him. However, Meisner continued to lead, even as Johnson mounted a final charge in the last two corners that was thwarted by lapped traffic. When the checkers fell, it was Meisner in Victory Lane.

Feature – 30 Laps

Thirteen strong, the LM field headed out for its second of two Feature events. The No. OH6 Mahkrysta Hilton took them across the line, but the No. 17 of Paul Deines fired back and shot to the outside as Hilton suddenly faded. The top three broke away, Deines, Newey, and Marine showed the way for the rest of the pack. They tightened into a three-wide bunch that allowed Newey to get away with the lead with Marine in hot pursuit. Now, things calmed down until Johnson closed on Marine and gave her a tap before looking to the inside, but had to back out as they thundered down the straightaway. Johnson lined up another shot and tried again, still chasing Marine with 10 laps logged. Meanwhile, Meisner waited for his shot, and got it when Marine washed up the track. Johnson shot after Newey, tracking him down lap after lap. Johnson began to cut the distance and swept past Newey in T2. On Lap 17, several race cars spun and triggered a yellow flag. Johnson took control once again when the green fell as Meisner and Newey scrapped for P2. As Johnson got away with the lead, Newey slotted into P3 behind Meisner. Now, the field was evenly spread out, all chasing Johnson. However, Johnson would not be denied and led Meisner, Newey, Hannah, and Marine across the line.

Quick Time: No. 1, Caleb Johnson, 17.479

AC TRANSMISSIONS LEGENDS

Dash – 10 Laps

Headed by the No. 27C of Steven Nester and the No. 95 of Jessilyn Dike, a field of 22 Legends took to the track for their first dash. The pack jostled side-by-side as the No. 22S of Shawn Smith surged into the lead, showing the way for Nester and Dike right in his tire tracks. A single car spun in T2, but avoided all other cars and cleared the racing surface before they caught him. Smith continued to lead Nester, while the No. 33J of Jake Boren knocked on the door to the top 4 and tried to demote the No. 13P of David Price. Nobody seemed able to make any moves, though, all following Smith, who had about 10 car lengths on the second-place car. With four to go, Smith began to catch the tail end of the lead lap, shaving off some of his time but not much. Some lapped cars got loose, but managed to stay out of the leaders’ way. Smith continued to lead, flashing across the line well shut of the competition as the Nester and Dike rounded out the podium. The excitement didn’t end there, though, as a few cars wrecked after the checkers.

Fast Dash – 10 Laps

The No. 28 of Adam Powers and the No. 00 of Chris Saykally took the green up front, leading 22 cars across the line. The No. 6 of Scotty Scott made a pass at the lead and took it before the first lap was in the books, while the No. 03 of Darrell Stewart slotted himself into P2, followed by the No. 32 of Cody Milan hot on his heels as Powers faded to fifth. Stewart checked up, opening the door for Milan to look low and take P2 away, but before he could do much with it, a single car spun out and got stuck high in T1, triggering a red flag with six laps in the books. With the track clean and the field reset, Scott chopped down across the field and took off with the lead again. Powers got shuffled high and fell out of the top five, allowing Stewart and Milan to close the gap. The No. 14S of Austin Steinke nosed into P4 followed by the No. 68 of Wyatt Dent in P5. Steinke looked low and demoted Milan, who fell into the claws of Dent. Stewart worked on Scott, looking low as they rounded the last corner. He almost pulled alongside him, but ran out of laps to make something stick. Scott flashed across the stripe in P1 while Stewart settled for P2.

Feature – 20 Laps

A four-wide start unfolded into chaos and several cars spinning out in Turn 1, prompting officials to rein the field back in and reset it for a complete restart. The No. 73 of Mike Markison assumed the lead at the drop of the green, but wasn’t able to put the No. 01 of Gary Land behind him. Dike filtered into P3 and the No. 19A of Austin Nester into P4 when the double-file line settled out. Land pulled alongside Markison and paced him through T4 before losing ground once again with five laps in the books. He didn’t give up, though, regrouping and sending his race car around the outside, but Markison maintained the advantage, but just barely. Shawn Smith was able to close the gap as they clawed at each other. A run on the outside saw Markison demoted to P3 as Smith shot past, while Dike sliced into P4, and then overtook Markison. The rest of the pack filed into a one-lane freight train as Land continued to show the way. Race cars covered the track evenly, and a single car spun out just as Land got to them, but they managed to get out of the way and stick to the lower lane, avoiding incident. Smith mounted a charge and the leaders made contact, opening the door for Markison to charge back to the top spot, cruising past the melee in Turn 4 to take the win, with Dike and Steven Nester rounding out the podium.

Fast Feature – 25 Laps

Headed by Powers and Saykally, 22 Legends hit the track for the final feature of the night. You could throw a blanket over the top five as they took the first lap, filtering the No. 15 of Danny Medina into the lead and Saykally into P2 as Scott mounted a charge to the lead, but 00 shut him down and took the position for himself. The leaders made contact in Turn 3, though, shuffling the lineup after just three laps. That put Medina back to the point with Stewart restarting alongside him. Medina shot out front as Stewart and Power battled side by side briefly until Steinke overtook both of them and put pressure on Stewart. The field settled into a tense, single groove line, evenly spaced out along the lower line. Steinke bumped Stewart, who then bumped Medina as they all vied for position. Then, with 15 laps to go, Stewart fully sent it to the high side and picked off Medina. Now out of the lead, Medina fell back. Steinke rode his momentum all the way to the front of the field and had only just begun to put down some real estate when a single car spun out and triggered a yellow flag on Lap 11. Almost as soon as they went green, a few cars got together in Turn 1 and caused a red flag.

When the race restarted, Stewart restarted alongside lunged ahead, followed by the No. 16 of Travis Roe and Steinke. The No. 12 of Breanna Bruce nudged her way into the top five just as the pack started to get strung out again, but not before Steinke overtook Stewart and  checked out. Another multicar incident unfolded and triggered a caution before he could gap the second-place car. However, Steinke got away with the lead on the start as Stewart once again filtered into P2. Now, with clean track ahead of him, Steinke was able to get away from the rest of the pack with Stewart in hot pursuit. Roe looked to the inside of Saykally for P3, completing the pass with three laps left. However, another single car incident caused another caution with 2 laps to go. The race was declared official as it had exceeded its time limit, and Stewart was crowned the victor.

Puzzle Effect Bandoleros

At CNS, the Bandoleros division showcases the youngest racers on the track - some just eight years old! The pint-sized drivers cut their teeth at 30 to 50 mph on a shortened course that loops through Turns 1 and 2 of the “big” track before diving into the infield and circling back around. Like the drivers themselves, the races may be small, but they pack a punch, and they’re a vital part of the CNS family.

Rookie Dash – 10 Laps

The No. 15S of Declan Shaw and the No. 99 of Brookelyn Torrez started side by side to take the green. Shaw took off as the pack bounced off one another behind him, opening it to a half lap lead just four laps in. The No. 22 of Lucas Jaramillo held down P2, while the No. 35 of Edward Shupe held P3. Shaw expertly navigated slower traffic, picking his line as he maintained his lead. A two-car incident caused a caution with four to go, leaving the Shaw to restart beside the Jaramillo. Shaw took off and the No. 27 of Logan Harlow followed him through to P2, blocking a charge from Jaramillo. Shaw again opened a strong lead, earning his first-ever victory.

Bandit Dash – 10 Laps

The No. 28 of Chandler Gasser and the No. 28P of Hayden Powers took the green flag; Gasser pushed low to lead early but Powers swapped lanes to snatch the position away and set sail. The pack filed into a single line freight train, until Gasser spun out and left Powers in sole possession of the lead. After several cars spun – including the leader – a caution waved with three to go. With the field reset, Powers and the No. 29 of Nora Smith took the field back to green. Powers sliced down and took off with the lead. The checkers went to Powers, who drove a clean race to get there.

Outlaw Dash – 10 Laps

The No. 07 of Madison Stanley and the No. 23M of Izaak Mead took the field across the line. Stanley darted away, but Mead looked low and took the top spot before the field crossed the line. Stanley and Mead had it out up front, trading the lead back and forth until Mead finally got the upper hand and got away, leading Stanley and the No. 44 of Weitzel. A single car spun out and cleared the racing surface with four laps to go, bunching up Mead and Stanley, but Mead maintained his advantage. Mead was held up by lapped traffic, then, allowing Stanley the shot she needed to get the lead, but got loose around the last corner and let Mead get back to the front to win at the line.

Bandit Feature – 12 Laps

Powers picked up right where he left off, slicing into the lead with Nora Smith following in his tire tracks. Picking up slower traffic, Powers extended his lead on Smith, who became stuck behind the slower cars and stalled her run on the leader. Powers maintained his advantage as the pack shot and scattered around the track behind him. Shaw, having advanced to this feature after his win, held down P3. Powers stayed out front, leading the pack right down to the line.

Outlaw Feature – 15 Laps

Mead and Stanley led the pack to the green, ready to pick up their heated battle from the Dash. Stanley swung high and went wide into T1, which allowed Mead to get away with the lead cleanly. A single car incident unfolded in T1, however, triggering a caution on the second lap. When the race went green again, they raced side by side until Mead got away with the position. He and Stanley gapped the rest of the field. Further back, Weitzel overtook for P3, laying down some distance on P4. Up front, Mead and Stanley kept their battle hot, until two cars slammed the wall in Turn 1 and caused a red flag. Stanley and Mead resumed their battle up front when the green dropped again, but Mead got the advantage, at least briefly. Stanley kept looking for a way around Mead, swinging wide through the center of the big track, but couldn’t make it stick. Stanley made one last pass at it on the last lap, but Mead held onto the lead, followed by Stanley and the No. 24 of Ayva Snyder.
