AC Transmission Night Shifts CNS Into High Gear

June 6, 2026 - Dacono, CO

Summer heat settled over Colorado National Speedway on June 6th, 2026, and the action on the track was even hotter. Fans were treated to a full evening of racing featuring the Late Models, Legends, Figure 8s, Bandoleros, and the always-popular Circle Drags hosted by Willie B. of KPBI, delivering endless action under the lights at CNS.

If you missed any of it, we've got you covered. Check out the full race recap below.

ClearShift Automotive Late Models

Fast Dash – 10 Laps

At the drop of the green, the No. 98 of Lee Kemmit took the lead, but not without pressure from the No. 40 of Brandon Newey up high before the first lap was even complete. But Eric Meisner’s No. 51 shot low to take second away from Newey, sighting Kemmit as he charged toward the front. Meisner looked inside of Kemmit and claimed the lead just three laps in, quickly laying down some distance. Further back, the No. 15 of Michael Hannah had his hands full of Tessa Marine’s No. 99 and Newey, but locked himself into P3 and began to lay into Kemmit for the runner-up spot with two to go. After light contact, the pack scrambled heading into T4 on the last lap. But Meisner maintained the lead, followed by Hannah and the No. 1 of Caleb Johnson completing the podium.

Dash – 10 Laps

Leading the field to green, the No. 17X of Mariah Boudrieau dove low and took control, leaving the pack in her dust as they raced two-wide for P2 behind her. The No. 12 of Adam Moe looked low, putting the No. 89 of Eddie Garcia Jr. into third. In no time, the No. 06 of Scott Johnson battled Garcia for that P3 slot, taking the position away. Up front, with five to go, Moe looked low to pass Boudrieau, but she fired back on the outside and maintained the position. One car spun out in Turn 3, triggering a yellow flag. Boudrieau took off again on the restart and even held onto the lead as a single car spun out from the middle of the top five, clearing the racing surface and keeping the race green. Boudrieau defended the top spot down to the line as the No. 32F of Aaron Franco suddenly emerged from the pack in second place and made her work for it, but it would be Boudrieau across the line first – by barely a nose.

Feature – 30 Laps

Newey tried to fire off into the lead, but Caleb Johnson wasn’t keen on letting it go and rolled out ahead of the rest by the time the first lap was complete. He set sail as Hannah snuck into second, but Meisner quickly made himself known as a threat and pulled alongside Hannah as Newey plummeted to fourth. However, a single car hit the backstretch wall and prompted officials to display the red on Lap 3.

After the racing surface was cleared, Johnson took the lead once more with Meisner in his tracks. After pressuring Johnson for a few laps, Meisner got the advantage heading to the front stretch on Lap 6, taking command of the race. Behind them, Hannah fell back and slotted in behind Marine. Johnson kept chasing Meisner, but Marine had advanced on him, too, setting the stage for a three-way conversation for the lead.

At the halfway point, the top three cars were evenly gapped, with a big advantage over the fourth place car of Hannah. Meanwhile, Hannah overtook Hannah for fourth place after a tense side-by-side battle. Hannah then faded a bit as Marine continued to stalk the leaders. Despite lapped traffic directly in front of him, Meisner maintained control of the race and even widened his gap on Johnson and Marine. Though Johnson and Marine cleared lapped traffic, there wasn’t enough time for them to cut into Meisner’s lead. Meisner shot across the line to take yet another feature win, guiding his race car cleanly across the line.

Quick Time: No. 1, Caleb Johnson, 17.472

Fast Dash: No. 51, Eric Meisner

Dash: No. 17X, Mariah Boudrieau

Feature: No. 51, Eric Meisner

AC Transmissions Legends

Fast Dash – 10 Laps

The No. 6 of Scotty Scott and the No. 68 of Wyatt Dent showed the way under the green flag. Scott immediately assumed control as Danny Medina and his No. 15 looked to pass the No. 03 driven by Darrell Stewart for third, but Stewart was on a mission and quickly advanced into P2. Soon Stewart began leaning on Scott up front and snagged the lead right at the line at the halfway point. Scott, out of the lead, plummeted to fifth place. Up front, Stewart now found himself in the crosshairs of the No. 16 of Travis Roe, ceding the lead as Austin Steinke’s No. 14S followed Roe through the gap. Stewart fell back, as suddenly, Steinke charged by on the outside and swept into the lead, with Bryanna Bruce’s No. 12 following him to the front of the pack. Bruce and Steinke battled side by side through all four corners of the last lap, but Steinke hung onto the lead, just barely.

Fast Feature – 25 Laps

Roe showed the way for the massive pack of 22 LEG across the line, but the No. 32 of Cody Milan quickly marched through the field to challenge him after just a few laps were in the book. Medina, meanwhile, cracked the top 5 behind them. Up front, Roe held control of the race, but Milan had worked his way right up to his bumper. The top two tried to break away, but the P3 car of Bruce was quick enough to keep them from widening the gap too much – at least, until Stewart finally battled his way past her and took third place after a brief three-wide battle. Medina slotted in front of her, too, knocking her to fifth place. Meanwhile, Milan tried just about every line he could find, trying to snatch the lead away from Roe, but to no avail. Meanwhile, Steinke sliced into fifth as Bruce fell out of the position, but not for long as she took it back. Roe still held control of the race with Milan in hot pursuit.

Up ahead, lapped traffic was growing in front of the leaders as they crossed the line with eight laps left on the board. That might give Milan and Medina the gap they’d need to pass Roe as they ran him to the tail end of the field. However, before Roe could reach lapped traffic, a caution waved for an incident in Turn 4, evaporating Roe’s advantage. With six laps remaining, the green waved again. Roe again took the lead, but a massive tangle in Turn 3 brought out the caution. After a lengthy cleanup gave way to the green flag, Roe shot out front, keeping Milan behind him as Scott tried to look for a way around, too. With the white flag in the air, Milan closed on Roe’s rear bumper. Through Turn 3, Roe held the advantage, but Milan waited for the perfect time to execute his move, and pulled it off in Turn 4. Milan flashed across the line first, relegating Roe to the runner-up position and Scott to P3.

Dash – 10 Laps

Nick Gunther’s No. 56 lunged ahead as Dominic Moss’s No. 19 sliced in to take control of the lower line, filling the gap left as the No. 17K of Marc Karashinski fell to P3. Gunther set sail as the pack jostled behind him, settling into a tense single-file lane two laps in. With five to go, a single car incident in T2 reset the field. This time, Karashinski got the jump on the outside as the No. 27 of Brian Harlow charged into second, demoting Gunther to third. Up front, Harlow pulled past Karashinski with just one to go, deflecting one last charge as they rounded Turn 4 and dashed across the line. Harlow would go on to win.

Feature – 10 Laps

The No. 01 of Gary Land leaped out front, dodging a gaggle of cars behind him as he rounded the track to lead the first lap, and managed to maintain control while the rest of the top five traded positions behind him. The No. 13P of David Price briefly battled for first, but backed out after light contact with Land. The No. 71 of Jason Scott and the No. 22S of Shawn Smith battled for fifth place side by side, trading position back and forth. The top eight cars broke away from the rest of the pack, all eight in a bumper lock nose-to-tail. Land pulled away the rest as they bunched up behind him, chasing Price low as he dodged a lapped car. Jason Scott, sitting pretty in third now, shot high to try to overtake Price. Further back, Smith looked to the inside of the No. 27C of Steven Nester and took the position away, sliding into fourth place.

With five laps remaining, Land kept control of the race. Price tried and failed to keep Smith behind him, while Jason Scott followed him through the gap. Price dove back into line in fourth place. Up front, 01 tried to hold off Smith, in danger of losing the lead after leading the entire race – but light contact between the two leaders saw Smith spinning out, leaving Land in sole possession of the lead right down to the checkers. Jason Scott and Price made up the rest of the top three.

Quick Time: No. 14S, Austin Steinke, 18.705

Fast Dash: No. 14S, Austin Steinke

Fast Feature: No. 32, Cody Milan

Dash: No. 27, Brian Harlow

Exhaust Pros Northglenn F8s

Dash – 10 Laps

The No. 8 of Beau Kellogg took the F8 field to green, but Jared Wall’s No. 52 fired past and took the lead while the No. 15 of Jereme Wall looked low and advanced into the top four on the first lap alone. Jared Wall continued to lead, ditching the field as Jereme swept into P2, leaving Kellogg and the No. 3 of Michael Wolfe Jr. to duke it out for P3. A one-car issue triggered a yellow for debris. Jared Wall took over the lead again as Wolfe overtook Kellogg, quickly eating into Jared Wall’s real estate and challenging him for the lead through the turns. Wolfe took control from Jared Wall and checked out. Jereme Wall battled past his brother with five laps left, taking second and lighting out after the leader. All said and done, Jereme Wall was crowned victor.

Feature – 20 Laps

Jereme Wall got out front in a hurry, leaving Kellogg to defend second against a hard-charging Wolfe. Jereme Wall checked out while Wolfe put pressure on Kellogg; their battle allowed Jereme Wall to extend his lead even further. But Wolfe finally clawed his way past Kellogg and locked onto Jereme Wall, while Kellogg fell to third and the No. 67 of Kylan Swenson claimed fourth. Jared Wall, meanwhile, fended off the rest of the pack as the No. 38 of Javon Barnard began to close on him. Barnard finally cracked the top five, pushing Jared Wall off the scoreboard as Jereme Wall and Wolfe checked out from the rest of the pack.

The pack raced three-wide through Turn 1 of the oval track, but somehow managed to keep it together. That bunched them up, though, putting them in perfect position for some X action. Jereme Wall and Wolfe were unfazed by slower traffic heading through the crossroads in front of them, battling each other as they shot the gaps. However, Jereme Wall had to lift just a bit to avoid cross traffic, letting Wolfe cut the distance. Jereme Wall and Wolfe split Jared Wall through The X, barely avoiding contact. Then, several cars running inside the top five made contact and spun, causing a yellow to be displayed. Wolfe took advantage of the restart, hanging with Jereme Wall as they picked up right where they left off. The pack held position through The X, evenly pacing one another. Jereme Wall held control up front; Wolfe was not able to advance on him, although the leaders began to ditch everyone from third on back once more. The No. 71 of Isaac Martinez and Barnard scrapped hard for third, pulling even with each other until Martinez got the advantage heading through The X. Jereme Wall crossed the line first, Wolfe followed, and Barnard managed to snag third from Martinez right at the stripe.

Quick Time: No. 15, Jereme Wall, 27.243

Dash: No. 15, Jereme Wall

Feature: No. 15, Jereme Wall

Puzzle Effect Bandoleros

At CNS, the Bandoleros division showcases the youngest racers on the track - some just eight years old! The pint-sized drivers cut their teeth at 30 to 50 mph on a shortened course that loops through Turns 1 and 2 of the “big” track before diving into the infield and circling back around. Like the drivers themselves, the races may be small, but they pack a punch, and they’re a vital part of the CNS family.

Outlaw Dash – 10 Laps

Jaxon Muhler’s No. 95J took the lead after a solid start, even as the pack unraveled into chaos behind him, filtering the No. 23M of Izaak Mead into second. Muhler set sail and began to ditch the field, even through a yellow flag for a car stalled high in Turn 2. Muhler defended the lead against Mead on the restart, and Madison Stanley’s No. 07 managed to capture second place with three laps left despite spinning out on the first lap. Mead and Stanely traded second back and forth for a few laps before Mead sealed the deal, following Muhler across the stripe.

Outlaw Feature – 15 Laps

The No. 44 of Emersyn Weitzel and Stanley led to the green flag. Stanely wasted no time and had only just found speed – at least, until the leaders made contact and turned the lead over to Muhler. The No. 96 of James Snyder followed while trying to fend off Mead. But Mead got the advantage and took second place, lighting out after Muhler. It only took a few laps for Stanley to crack back into the top five once more. Up front, Muhler continued to put on a clinic, opening up a massive lead on the second-place car of Snyder and Mead, who split a lapped car racing for third. Nead came out ahead in the exchange – and then, Muhler made contact with a lapped car and spun out, forcing the pack to scatter. That turned the lead over to Snyder, who managed to avoid the melee, rounding the track twice more to take the checkered flag in first.

Bandit Dash – 10 Laps

Logan Torrez and the No. 3 powered ahead to take the lead as soon as the green flag dropped. He stretched his lead as several cars got together, almost spinning out but gathering themselves back up. The No. 8 of Adalynn Smith charged through the pack to challenge the leader, sweeping past him with three laps left on the board and pulling the No. 28P of Hayden Powers in second place. Smith continued to lead and snatched the win.

Rookie Bandit Dash – 10 Laps

The No. 7M of Christian Martinez took control on the green flag, deflecting a charge from the No. 22 of Lucas Jaramillo throughout the first few laps. Jaramillo took control, but Martinez fired back, over and over, until Martinez finally snatched the lead away. He went on to lead to the checkers.

Bandit Feature – 12 Laps

Maverick Arechiga took the lead in his No. 35 as Powers shot into second place. The No. 15 of Declan Shaw swept past both them and took the lead, just as Arechiga and Powers made contact. However, Adalynn Smith took the lead on the ensuing restart, pulling away from the field as several other cars spun behind her. Powers maintained second place behind her, pulling away from the field and picking up the victory in her final race at CNS. Her sister, Nora Smith, finished fourth in the No. 29 in her last showing, too.
