Guardian Roofing Super Late Models
Fast Dash - 10 Laps
Starting from the front row, the No. 32 of Brett Yackey jumped out to the lead on the opening lap while the battle for second quickly heated up between the No. 11 Darren Robertson and No. 58 Kyle Ray, with Ray taking over the position on Lap 2. The No. 43 Kody Vanderwal then worked past Robertson for third before debris in Turn 1 brought out the caution on Lap 4. On the restart, Yackey got another great launch and maintained the lead while Ray made several runs to the outside and later held off Robertson in a spirited battle for second. As the laps wound down, Yackey stretched out his advantage and cruised to the victory, with Ray securing the runner-up spot after fending off a late challenge from Robertson.
Dash - 10 Laps
The No. 34 Rudy Vanderwal and No. 12 Bruce Yackey brought the field to the green, but Vanderwal stumbled slightly on the start, allowing Bruce Yackey to take the lead on the opening lap. Behind the leader, the No. 57 Brady Balderston and No. 6 Adam Deines battled side by side for third before Deines briefly took the spot. Balderston charged into second by Lap 6 with the No. 24 Cody Dempster moving into third. Out front Bruce pulled away from the field and won without breaking a sweat.
Feature - 76 Laps
In honor of our nation’s Independence, a glistening field of 14 Super Late Models took the speedway for their special 76-lap feature. Ray jumped out to lead the first lap but was quickly overtaken by Kody Vanderwal, meanwhile the battle for second heated up with Ray and Robertson battling side by side for a couple of laps before a caution came out on Lap 8 when a couple of cars got together in Turn 3.
On the restart, Vanderwal gained the upper hand and got away from Ray, meanwhile Gasser and Brian Yackey battled for fifth. Up front, Robertson closed on Ray for second, and finally completed the pass on Ray on Lap 16 and set his sights on Vanderwal. No. 22 Chris Eggleston began to mount a charge, getting past Brett Yackey for P4. Ray ventured to the outside line and gained ground on Robertson for second but eventually fell off the pace of Vanderwal and Robertson. Robertson was able to hang with Vanderwal lap after lap until the leaders encountered lap traffic at the mid-point in the race.
Vanderwal navigated traffic strong, but Robertson was held up behind them, giving Vanderwal the advantage. Meanwhile, Eggleston began to make a charge at Ray for third and was able to get by. As both Vanderwal and Robertson got through lapped traffic and had clear track, Robertson began to slowly reel in Vanderwal with Eggleston running in third - over a straightaway behind them.
With less than 10 laps to go, Robertson fired up a late-race charge and got within five car-lengths of Vanderwal with no slower traffic ahead. At that time, a three-way battle shaped up for fifth between Brett Yackey, Brian Yackey and Gasser. Some slight contact between both Yackeys would allow Gasser to get by to take fifth place in the closing stages. As the white flag flew, Robertson was still within striking distance but ran out of time as Vanderwal took home the win with a dominant performance.
Quick Time: No. 82, Michael Scott, 15.970
Feature: No. 43, Kody Vanderwal

Grease Diva Garage Pure Stocks
Feature 1 - 20 Laps
The first of two features for the Grease Diva Garage Pure Stocks saw the No. 63 Kenny Bowlus get a great start from the front row and lead the opening lap. The No. 19Y Justin Young Jr. immediately began applying pressure to the No. 89 Justin Barnard in the battle for second. Young Jr. eventually secured the runner-up spot on Lap 4 as the top four settled into single file, while the No. 04 Aric Durand steadily worked his way forward, breaking into the top five before passing Barnard for third.
As the race reached the closing stages, Young Jr. began reeling in Bowlus for the lead as they began to encounter lap traffic, which allowed Durand to close the gap from third. The top three ran within a few car-lengths of one another over the final laps as traffic played a major role in the battle at the front of the field. On Lap 19, contact between Durand and Young Jr. resulted in several cars getting collected in Turn 4, and that allowed Bowlus to gallop ahead, picking up the night’s first Feature victory.
Feature 2 - 25 Laps
The second feature of the evening saw two rookies on the front row with the No. 29 Trevor Hermosillo and No. 26 Nathan Rehfeld bringing the field to the green. Rehfeld snatched up the early advantage while the field raced three- and four-wide behind the leaders on the opening lap. The No. 08 Tanner McKim quickly worked into second and put pressure on Rehfeld, spending several laps searching for a way around the leader before finally capitalizing on a mistake in Turn 3 on Lap 10 to take over the top spot one lap later. Meanwhile, the No. 1 Derek Spalding put together one of the strongest drives of the race after starting mid-pack, charging into the top three and closing in on the front two.
A couple of cars got together on Lap 14, resulting in a yellow flag and setting up a pivotal late-race restart. Spalding wasted little time taking over second and briefly looked to challenge McKim, but McKim was able to pull away once the race settled back into a rhythm. Behind them, the No. 23 Peyton Opperman worked past Rehfeld in the closing laps to claim the final podium position. McKim remained unchallenged over the final laps and went on to capture the 25-lap feature victory.

Steinke powered to the lead on Lap 5 while the No. 6 Scotty Scott and No. 22 Chris Eggleston worked their way forward into the top group and began closing in on the leaders. In the closing laps, Eggleston reeled in Steinke and briefly pressured for the top spot but ran out of time. Steinke held strong to secure the Fast Dash victory.
Fast Feature - 25 Laps
The Legend Fast Feature saw a massive field of 21 “Killer Bees” paced by Scott and Steinke, with Scott jumping out to the early lead before a couple of cars got together mid-pack on Lap 1, involving several competitors, all drivers were ok after the incident. Once the clean up was completed, Scott maintained the top spot on the restart while Steinke stayed in the fight at the front and brought Eggleston into contention as the lead group began to sort out. Eggleston worked his way forward and eventually took over the lead around the midway point of the race. From there Eggleston settled into a rhythm out front while Scott and Steinke stayed within striking distance. Staying right with each other, the top three began to separate from the field. As the laps ticked down, slower traffic came into play and briefly slowed Eggleston, allowing Steinke to close right onto the bumper and take a look for the lead. Eggleston was able to regroup once clear of traffic and hold the advantage down the stretch. Steinke stayed close but ran out of time as Eggleston captured the Fast Feature win.
Legend Dash - 10 Laps
The Legend Dash saw the No. 56 Nick Gunther and No. 2 Dutch VanderWal on the front row, with Gunther jumping out to the early lead before a couple of cars got together in Turn 3, triggering a yellow flag and a complete restart. On the restart, Gunther again got the jump while Vanderwal fell back, and Gunther led Lap 1 with the No. 22S Shawn Smith up to second. The No. 21 Madi Lange worked past Smith and quickly closed on the leader while the No. 73 Mike Markison joined the mix.A late-race charge saw Lange get to the bumper of Gunther, but she couldn’t complete the pass as the leader held firm to the finish. Gunther picked up the Dash win, with Lange, Markison, and Smith racing their way into the Fast Feature.
Legend Feature - 20 Laps
No. 97 Bill Blevins jumped out to the early lead and paced the opening laps while the field quickly strung out behind him. By Lap 9 Moss worked to the inside of Blevins and took over the lead. From there, Moss began to pull away while Blevins settled into second and the field ran single file behind them. A couple of cars got together in Turn 4 on Lap 13, resulting in a yellow flag and resetting the field. On the restart Moss maintained control while Nester and Blevins continued their fight just behind him as the field sorted back out. Moss was able to stay smooth out front and held on to score his first career feature win.

Puzzle Effect Bandoleros
At CNS, the Bandoleros division showcases the youngest racers on the track - some just eight years old! The pint-sized drivers cut their teeth at 30 to 50 mph on a shortened course that loops through Turns 1 and 2 of the “big” track before diving into the infield and circling back around. Like the drivers themselves, the races may be small, but they pack a punch, and they’re a vital part of the CNS family.
Bandolero Outlaw Dash - 10 laps
The Bandolero Outlaw Dash saw the No. 95 Jaxon Muhler jump out to the early lead on Lap 1 while the field quickly strung out single file behind him. The No. 23M Izaak Mead stayed right on the bumper and began applying pressure for the lead, going side by side by Lap 2 before finally completing the pass after working through a lap car on Lap 4. From there Mead began to pull away while Muhler settled into second as the battle for position continued further back in the field. In the closing laps Mead worked through heavy traffic and held on to take the Dash win with Muhler finishing second.
Bandolero Feature - 15 Laps
No. 96 James Snyder jumped out to the early lead on Lap 1 before a couple of cars got together in Turn 1. A cone violation brought out a quick yellow and reset the field. After the restart, Snyder maintained the top spot while the No. 07 Madison Stanley worked into second and the No. 09 Kayden Willey stayed in the fight just behind as the front group began to separate. Mead methodically worked through traffic and eventually moved into second, then took over the lead in traffic on Lap 7 as the field began to string out. From there Mead began to pull away while Willey moved back into second and began closing the gap on the leader. On Lap 11, Stanley lost a wheel but kept going, completing two more laps around the speedway before contact with another competitor sent her spinning resulting in a yellow flag. The crowd erupted as she climbed from the car. The yellow flag set the stage for a dash to the finish with Mead and Willey on the front row. Mead kept control on the restart while the field jostled behind, including the No. 3P Mauricio Pina getting sideways and continuing. In the final laps, Mead held firm and went on to score the Bandolero Outlaw Feature win, sweeping the night’s events.

On Lap 4 Gasser got loose and spun from the lead allowing the No. 28P Hayden Powers to take over the lead. Powers held the point while Torrez continued to close in the final laps but ran out of time. Powers went on to score the Bandit Dash win.
Rookie Dash - 10 Laps
The No. 25 Edward Shupe fired off to the early lead on Lap 1 while the field settled into single file behind him. The No. 81 Allie Kiefer and No. 22 Lucas Jaramillo battled for second early, swapping the spot before Jaramillo finally got clear on Lap 4 as Shupe started to stretch the advantage. The No. 16 Vanellope Scott spun but kept going while the front two continued to separate from the field. Late in the run, Jaramillo began reeling in Shupe for the lead but Shupe held on to score the Rookie Dash win.
Bandit Feature - 12 Laps
Twelve Bandits started the 12-lap Feature with the No. 98 Kyleigh Novak and No. 35 Maverick Arechiga on the front row. Novak led Lap 1 before Torrez quickly worked into second and then took over the lead. Powers tried to get by Novak early but couldn’t make it stick while Torrez started to pull away from the field as Novak, Arechiga, and Powers battled for second. Powers eventually got by Arechiga for third and then moved into second past Novak on Lap 6.From there Powers closed right onto Torrez and stayed glued to the lead battle, even as they chased each other through traffic. Powers was all over Torrez for the lead in the final laps before the two went side by side on Lap 11, got together, resulting in Torrez spinning.
